Similar to other reviews, I've got to mention that it does take a while for your food. We went on a Monday morning so it wasn't packed, but I did hear that Mondays and Tuesdays there are only two people staffed. So maybe try Wed-Fri if you're worried about wait time? That being said, I think we spent about an hour and a half total. We ordered two pancakes and the 3 egg meal, it took about 35-40min to get to the table. The portions were HUGE, so it's definitely very worth the wait if you're hungry, and the prices can't be beat. We weren't in a rush and the staff was friendly enough, there are definitely regulars that come in too. I think really the only gripe we had were the pancakes, they're massive but they weren't very good. They're very dense and a bit dry, but again if you're looking for a filling meal they're perfect. Overall I'd give this a 3.5 if I could. In terms of cleanliness, the ceiling is questionable, it's a bit run down. But the tables and menus are wiped down after every use and the occupied tables were spaced out. I'm not sure how it would be on a busy weekend though. So, worth it for the bigger portions, but they're not joking about the wait

Great breakfast joint! First off the story - I was in a Wawa at Rehoboth beach, when I asked one of their employees what is a good local breakfast joint. He first mentioned a franchise place and I explained further that I was looking for the place the locals go to, he directed me to the Lemon Tree, after he said that another employee stated that she loved that place and a customer said it is a must stop for their family during vacation season. While it was a long wait, it was expected because a sign asked us to be patience as they are short staffed. Our waitress was awesome and we share some good stories together. Of course the lemonade was off the charts incredible. but so was the breakfast, the home-fries were unusual, more like short fat French fries, they were delicious. My daughter order the pancakes and it was a hit, homemade and super thick. I would highly recommend this place.

My friends and I went here after taking the ferry. I'm pretty sure they were understaffed. I only saw one person working. With that being said, they were not friendly. At all. We arrived at 12:00 and were told that breakfast was not being served in an unfriendly manner. The food was subpar. The restaurant wasn't appealing in appearance. Maybe this is a great place for breakfast. Maybe if they were properly staffed the staff would have been nicer. Maybe if there was more staff it would be cleaner. Not today though.

So I personally didn't eat here and after just parking and the lady coming out and screaming at me I wouldn't want to step foot in that place. We were going to Lewes waveless beach....well trying to. We have alot of kids with us and two vehicles and parking was full at the beach. We pulled into a near by parking lot to get drinks from a store there and to feed our children while we figured out our next plan since the one we had didn't go as planned. We no sooner step out of the vehicle to go into a store and the lady in the Lemon Tree Restaurant comes out yelling we couldn't park there for the beach....we said ok were not and we can read (as there a was signs saying parking is for customers, not designated to the restaurant anyways) my husband goes into the store and the lady comes out screaming again and calls the cops. The cops come and we tell them what happened showed them our receipt to prove we were customers. The police were very nice and let us feed our children before leaving the parking lot. again I personally didn't eat here but after how the owner of this place presented herself I wouldn't ever. Who knows....I could have very easily been going into that place but she would have never known with how she came our yelling. I would prefer food made...

Some of the issues related to this place, still exist today. First off the food was very good, with the exception of the home fries. Cold, and very dry! The waitress was very friendly, and her service was excellent! Everything else was very good. I had eggs and ham, my wife had eggs with scrapple and toast. Again the home fries were nothing to write home about. The one thing I do want to mention is the drop ceiling tiles, which there were comments about, over six years ago, still remain. It looks like many of the tiles in the ceiling are ready to fall. It appears that this issue has never been addressed. There were two or three tiles, which looked newer, but many of the tiles, appeared as if they were going to fall at any moment. this could possibly be the result of water damage. Don’t let the ceiling tiles discourage you from eating at this place. Overall, the food was good. Great little spot and great prices. Very convenient to where we spent a...
