I have been a long patron of waffle house and love everything about it. That why it pains me to do a review like this. I'm not a person who writes reviews. This is only my second time ever doing one but felt this needs to be known. Went to the location here off of business 121. Place was about 2/3rds full but only two others sitting at the bar section. I sat down and an older gentlemen server with a gray pony tail and gray facial hair came to me as soon as I sat down he asked what I would like and said ,to put in a Togo order. I just got off a 13 hr shift and wanted to grab something quick. He quickly grabbed the menu and silverware and said place your order at the cash register. So I got up left my phone where I was sitting and placed my order with Sega, who was a sweet as any one could be. Went back to the bar and the same old man rudly said sit over in the chairs this is my section for customers. So I understood his problem. Because I wasn't staying to eat and give him a tip he felt it appropriate to be a c×nt. So I took out a 5 dollar bill and put it under a bottle of Tabasco. A few moments latter he came by and saw he said he appreciated it, as to which I responded that 5 is to not talk to me the rest of the time. I was annoyed but no vulgar or undignified language was spoken. I'm in the service industry as well a and found it completely inappropriate for him to act that way because I was only getting a to go order. I will still continue to go to waffle houses around the country but if your reading this and happen to go to that location and an old man with a gray ponytail and gray facial hair is your server, quickly ask for another person or to be seated in different location. Read moreBeen here before and had great service in the past. HOWEVER, today was something else. I walked in for a to go order since they were not allowing over the phone orders. When I walked in I was told to take a seat that their was a 5-10 minute wait before they would take my to go order. After 15 minutes had pasted and 2 more to go orders walked in behind me the same employee kept saying 5-10 minutes for the to go order to be taken. I thought the guy in front of me still needed to order but apparently he ordered before I walked in. Meaning the entire time I am there I am next to place my to go order but no one had in 15 minutes. Even the hostess thought they already took my order and I was just waiting on food. I told them no I have not ordered. The employee shouting 5-10 minutes before taking to go orders over and over confirmed that I had not told them my order. I went in the car and let my husband handle it. When he finally got to order the 2 things for our kids so we could get out of there faster and we just eat elsewhere, the person behind us that ordered after us got their food and was able to leave before us. Then the 2nd period ordered and said forget this and left. Then another employee was like oh 2 chocolate waffles I got you and they were some that had been sitting there for like 10 minutes getting cold. If we would have known they were our kids waffles sitting there we would have said hey those are ours. Service was terrible today. We finally got cold food for our kids and we ate food somewhere else. Read moreI go to the Waffle House in Lewisville at 1901 S State Hwy 121, Lewisville, TX 75067. I've gone here on multiple occasions and each time I'm reminded of why I should no longer go to this location. It's not because of the location, or even all the employees. I love all employees except for the one in the black shirt. I think she is the manager. I found out today that her name is Trish. This lady constantly curses out her employees for everyone in the building to hear. It makes me upset for the other employees. This is very unprofessional and un-manager like. She shouldn't be allowed to manage employees. A couple weeks ago I went to this location and she was doing the same thing, however I've worked in the food industry and figured she was just having a bad day, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. When I visited again and she was doing the same thing, it disgust me. There are also kids in the building and she is using a very poor choice of words at a very loud volume. This should be addressed immediately as it is very unprofessional and creates a bad environment for not only the other employees but also for the customers trying to enjoy their food with their families. If a higer authority visits to monitor as a customer while she is working, I can guarantee you that they will notice how she treats the employees. It is absolutely ridiculous. Every other employee there is the absolute sweetest and I am very impressed at how they can carry on and treat the customers unfazed after being cursed out by their manager.
