The news says Applebees has given up on millennials. Im saying they have just given up on everything. I ordered the steak salad and the sriracha shrimp. The shrimp had no sriracha in it what so ever. None of the sweet chili that youd expect from sriracha based sauces. Just blah. pitiful. The steak salad was flavorless and just shameful. Dine Equity spent 40 million dollars to install flame grills in all 2000 Applebees and I'm guessing this site didn't get one. The "steak" may have been cooked on fire but then it was stored in some liquid that made it look old and made it kind of chewey. It was wet steak. The dressing on the salad was basically mayonnaise. No flavor other than bland mayonnaise. Ive had better steak salads in strip clubs and food trucks The building itself is showing signs of poor repair. The carpets are dirty and old, the restroom smells funny and a urinal is literally falling off the wall. And it sprays you when it flushes. The wood work is worn and not repaired. The floor tiles in the entrance are chipping and coming part. Excess dirt is built up along the edges everywhere. Everything wrong with this place is solely on corporate. Local management has no control over this. On the bright side the wait staff is very nice doing the best as you can on a sinking ship. If this site survives the next round of closings I would be surprised. But I dont think it would survive the round after that. The restaurant used to nice but to get it up to par is going to take a major investment that I dont think the the owners are...
Read moreSo I just went to Applebees in Lexington and ordered over 70 dollars worth of food. I sat outside waiting over 10 minutes for them to bring me my food which I ened up having to call to get them to bring out my food since it didn't seem like they were coming out otherwise. Got back home and I'm missing two orders that I paid for so I called back up stating I had missing food. The girl who answered was nice said she would get a manager and he would give up a discount card since we have to drive 15 minutes back to the store from our house. The manager Joey acted like oh no big deal that we have to drive out of our way back up to the store and said nope your not getting no discount you can come get your food. I dont know who said you would get a discount card but I'm the manager. He asked what I ordered 3 differently times like he didn't understand the first 2 times I told him. He was definitely not manager material. I was in food service for 15 years and anytime an employee messes up guess what they always made it right. And to top it off we go to this restaurant at least once a week. They just loss a regular customer because of his rudeness. Like I'm in the wrong fir being angry for being told one thing and out of the food I paid for. Now my daughter who had several teeth removed has to drive back up there and waste more gas to eat tonight. Unbelievable the customer service that I experienced tonight. Just beware if you order food from there even if they say it's all in the bags check your food. Wish I would have done that myself, lesson...

This restaurant is situated on Columbia Ave in the heart of Lexington, SC and very easy to find. We decided to go there yesterday (11/11/2022) for dinner, because one of us was a Veteran. This Applebees restaurant was honoring the Veterans, with a free entree meal from a special selection. We had no issues with parking because they have a large parking lot. Upon entering we noticed that they had "A Fallen Soldier's Table" and you could that they definitely support the military services. We was quickly greeted by a friendly staff, and if you were a Veteran with identification than you were given a special menu, $5 gift card, and raffle ticket.
Applebees menu has many options for steaks, chicken, pasta, seafood, salads, and a wide drink selection. We decided to sit at the bar for faster seating, and our bartender was very attentive and very friendly. We had to pay for the extra stuff we order, such as drinks, appetizer, and one entree. The drinks were very affordable and definitely top shelf and not water down. We had an issue with the fish and chips being undercooked, but our bartender resolved this issue and removed it from the bill. So the customer service was very professional and drama FREE.
We don't usually usually review chain franchise restaurants, but because we received exceptional customer service I really wanted to share our experience. I'm positive that we will be back in near future, and I would highly recommend this Applebees...
