Mari Pari — Restaurant in Leyden Township

Tried this one for a quick bite with my son and ordered burger on a sliced brioche bread plus French fries and water. I was told that the wait will be 7 minutes. There was no line by the way compared to Chicago burger and Phillies Steak. The food came after the wait but I was disappointed at the fries, it looked sadder than me lol. Any fast food restaurants’s fries would put this one to shame. It was cold, soggy , limped without life, unappetizing looking and has that screaming vibes telling, don’t eat me. It was probably sitting out for hours. I immediately return it to the cashier and she refunded me the price for the fries.

Next thing I did was to order French fries from their competitor. I returned to the cashier and showed her the freshly cooked fries and reminded her that that’s how freshly made food must looked like. I also encouraged her to let their cook know to never serve the kind of fries they served me to paying customers.

Unlike the other vendors, you can’t see their cook and people prepping your orders. Their kitchen is hidden behind their menu display .

The cashier at first was quick to point out that they have different types of fries but she can’t convinced me that that was Belgian fries at all or even resemble a regular fries.

No I won’t eat there again or recommend others to get food from this particular...

I went to the Rosemont location today for lunch. I was very excited after reading the menu and reviews. I felt let down. The crispy chicken sandwich was average at best. I added the fries and drink like my friend that added his to his mob sandwich. He ordered right after me. He got his fries in the cone and looked vastly better than mine which came in a fast food bag. They were all small stubs that I got after they filled my friends in the cone. I should have been first but got the crispy left over stubs instead. All fries should come in the cone , full size long fries. I went because of the advertised home made sauces. I asked for the ketchup and got a no name package of ketchup. When I asked and showed in my phone the special sauces they looked at me like I was nuts. When I pushed it they said those were for the kids meals. Guess what, when asked they didn't have any. The fries we not as good as I expected. I was offered the manager. When she came out she spoke no English and had to be translated by the cashier I wondered why she even offered the manager. The 2 employees did the best they could but offered no real answer except to tell me they use the bag if it fits in the container....

Do yourself a favor and grab a burger or Philly cheese steak next door. Got the "Berliner Kebab" which turned out to just be a veggie sandwich. Took 15 minutes to make two sandwiches. At first I wasn't sure why but once I got home to eat i saw that it was because they did a great job making sure there were never 2 pieces of meat touching each other. Less than 5% of the inside of the sandwich is meat. The rest is just veggies, and even the veggies don't taste fresh.

Waste of money and time.

Also asked for the food to be made to-go. The food came out on plates. I then again had to remind them that it was supposed to be to-go so they put one of the sandwiches in a least helpful "container" that had two large holes that can't be closed. Then the worker gives me my two sandwiches and a bag to bag it all myself.

Also, nothing about this is similar to a kebab from Germany. This is just gyro meat and not actual kebab.
