So upsetting and frustrating to have experienced up close how customer service is NON-EXISTENT in this business... Especially since it is far from cheap especially in today's current economic crisis $1300 which after the way we were treated by the manager we were willing to leave and let them keep there money and go some place else... We went to celebrate my grandsons birthday yesterday and worked diligently with the party reservations rep Ericka to only find out upon arrival how NOTHING we were told was correct. Ericka was so worried about us not having 13 kids a week prior but when we told her a week prior we have 15 she said they would be added once we arrived... Well that was definitely NOT THE CASE... Two of my grandchildren 9yo and 4yo were not allowed to participate at all because we were misinformed on being able to add extra flyers upon arrival. My son drove 2.5 hours just to get there so round trip 5 hours to have his 2 children crying during the whole experience...So needless to say it went downhill from there. My grandkids were bawling at finding out they could not have fun with their cousin on his 14th birthday. The Manager a rather rude portly gentleman who possessed absolutely no guest recovery skills or training whatsoever to resolve the issue at hand and without hesitation or sympathy for the situation he denied us any viable solutions other than to wait 5 hours to let the 2 kids fly or have my son drove another 5 hours roundtrip to come back next week... We were also told by Ericka if we needed extra pizzas we could order the day of which was also more misinformation. We had to order ourselves and go pick them up because the pizza subcontractor Bacci Pizza refused to deliver 3 extra pizzas along with the original delivery. A huge disappointment due to the huge disconnect between the reservations department and boots on the ground manager/staff at the actual location itself in Rosemont.
Please be careful when booking any event here because the only answer the management staff has when something wasn't what we were informed is "it was in the contract you were emailed" so obviously this has happened in the past since they were so quick with that response. Be sure to carry your laptop with you because on the phone it's hard to read their fine print in that contract they send out. Needless to say we will NEVER recommend or visit...
Read moreMy wife and I had our first indoor skydiving experience here. It was a bit scary at first, but the instructors were excellent. So it turns out to be I found experience. A few things to note:
if you are doing the high flyer, the instructor will spin you around while bringing you up high in the tunnel. We felt a little dizzy from the spinning. It would have been a much better experience if they could bring me up up with less spinning or at least slower.
holding a fixed posture while in the wind tunnel requires more physical strength than I thought. Although the instructor says I can relax, I can't relax without changing my posture, which keeps my body stable.
The only thing we really dislike about this experience, is after The experience, when I am ready to download my photo and video. We only get to pick one video and one photo. The preview of the video they give you is only 20 seconds long, so you can't see how the rest of your flight was, which is typically a minute or longer. And also the preview of the photo is very low resolution and has such a big and heavy watermark that blocks a lot of the detail. So you cannot really choose which photo you really like because you can't see details of many of them. And the worst thing is that after you choose which video or photo to download, You can't change it.
I really think this leaves a terrible aftertaste. After a couple weeks they are going to delete the video and the photos anyway. Why not let us choose which video we really want, and see which photos we really like so we feel good sharing them with our friends and family? I think this is just bad business. And the people running it just doesn't seem to understand customer experience, and modern consumer behavior. This alone, made me drop 2 stars, from the otherwise 5...
Read moreI'll begin with the negative-Parking! With only about 20 dedicated spots to park at iFly you'll have to likely park in the parking garage or lucky enough to park in the streets. Other businesses in the area have patrons parking in these spots as well so rarely will you find a spot.
This review is during Covid-19 precautions and I do have to say iFly staff took it seriously. The enforced distancing feet and marked furniture as such as well. Everyone had a mask on and compliant as well as the staff having an eye out for any risks.
The experience was great as we went with a party of children. The staff was very patient with the group of beginners as well as others who panicked in the fly zone. They gave you time to get acclimated and gave clear instructions on how to improve. By the 3rd flight the 5 year olds were almost expertly flying in the zone. It's an experience everyone should try, but it can get pretty pricey! I think it's like $20 per flight. Which doesn't seem like much but considering it's only a minute and you spend the majority of time waiting, suiting up, getting instructions, and waiting some more it can leave you wanting more. So say you want three jumps you are paying $60 for 3min and if you want to go "high" it's $40 extra for about 30 seconds of high flying fun! There are likely discounts for multi jump options. Don't get me wrong everyone loved the experience and I didn't see anyone upset so it appeared to be quite worthwhile! iFly also break some time in between and had instructors do a little show to get you pumped!
I would definitely go again with a group or individuals! Thank you for making it a great experience with your instructors and...
