I was shopping at Gucci outlet store in Rosemont for my husbandâs birthday. The shoe size that was needed was not available in that store so the associate Jaime told me that another store in California has it and that they can ship it to my home via express or overnight shipping so that I have the gift ready in time for the birthday. Due to the time difference that store was still closed so he told me to leave my information, name, shipping and billing address and reassured me that he would call me back immediately, as soon as they open, which was to happen in less than an hour, so that he can take my payment information and arrange the purchase and shipping. I took time to fill out the information he asked for, all while also managing to look after and take care of my toddler who was also with me. Jaime gave me his card and told that everything will be taken care of. He even told he would set an alarm for himself so as to call the California store instantly when they open. And so I trusted him, stopping my search of the present after being reassured with great confidence by the store associate. Not only I did not receive any calls back from the store but also when I tried calling the Gucci Rosemont numerous times that day and next one, I was rudely ignored and rejected. I was placed on hold for long period of time when I asked for Jaime so that I could inquire about my matter, then I was told he would call me back, which never happened. So at the end of the day when I called again, the associate was already gone and nobody could help me. Next day when I finally spoke with him after several attempts of my calling, he told the shoes I needed were not available. When I asked why he did not simply call me back right away and inform me about it so that I could resume my search of a present, he did not have any answer. I had to shop for the gift last minute elsewhere, risking ruining birthday for my husband. Gucci and their customer service has really let me down in this situation. I was looking forward to having a pleasant experience of shopping at an upscale store for the most special gift for the most special person. The experience was ruined and on top of that I also waisted a lot of time and energy trying to figure out the matter only to feel greatly neglected and disappointed in the end. I used to like the brand a lot but now I am not even sure it will be any pleasure to wear it myself, or see it on others anymore, not to mention go back into the store as it will always remind me of the...
Read moreI am giving this review 3 stars due to my first impression/experience. If I only review the store based on Sheetal, it would be a 5 star review but unfortunately I had a negative experience almost immediately upon walking in. I waited in line for probably an hour (COVID) and was looking forward to coming inside to shop. I have never been to a GUCCI outlet store as all my GUCCI items are from the GUCCI website or from the GUCCI stores inside of Nordstrom/Bloomingdales. When I came in, mind you, I had my everyday GUCCI bag which was purchased from GUCCI directly, not from the outlets, I mention this since I see people stating that they came in here not looking "rich" and were treated poorly. I looked formal, comfortable but I did not think this would matter or should decide how I am treated. I saw a young African-American lady, with a short, blonde haircut, almost bald (think Amber Rose). My apologies, I do not know her name as she could not be bothered to even face me when I asked her a question so her physical description is all I have to go off of. I saw her near some purses and wanted to know the price of 2 of the bags I was looking at, she was right by the bags so I asked her the price of one when she literally barked the price at me and took off. I didn't even get to ask the price of the second bag. I know they are busy with other client's so I understand her being busy etc. but the way you treat people regardless of being busy is important. I still wanted to make a purchase and luckily Sheetal was so kind to ask if I needed assistance, I ended up purchasing a few items from her and I am glad I did because she deserves the credit. She was kind, professional and over all represents the brand well. Gucci, outlet or not, should focus on the way their associates treat the client's, we are here to purchase luxury items, discounts or not, please consider this as this young ladies attitude could potentially deter future purchases. Sheetal, kudos on a job well done young lady! Picture attached, in case anyone doubts...
Read moreThere's a new Gucci store in the Rosemont Fashion Outlets of Chicago Mall.
Actually, it's the same store, they just moved to another space.
They were located right in the middle of the mall on the second floor. Recently, since before Christmas, there is a huge line to get into the store, even before they open. The line would be blocking the aisle and making social distancing impossible. I believe that they moved the store in order to alleviate the traffic jam. The new store is also slightly larger, and the front of the store is more open and visible. The merchandise that is displayed in the windows is highlighted attractively and easy to see.
The front of the store showcases the purses and shoes, while the back of the store features the clothing.
I'm not a big fan of Gucci, and have only been in the store one time, but it seems to be a true outlet store. I found a few defects in the stitching on some of the purses, and the one dress I liked was made out of paper thin material and the hem was sewn crooked.
Yes, the prices are lower than you would find at a regular Gucci store, but, inspect the merchandise carefully before you purchase.
I would suggest to get to the mall early and be prepared to wait in line, as there is a limit to how many people are allowed in the store...
