We had a group of five during the not so busy part of a Sunday evening. We were traveling for business and decided on this restaurant. The place was not crowded at all. Most tables were empty. The server came quickly to the table and took our drink orders. A few moments later she showed back up with drinks and took our food orders. We sat talking for a while when we noticed the time that went by. It took a while for the food to come out. While waiting, we used the extra time on our hands to see that the floor needed to be swept under the tables next to our party. Looking under the table where we sat, I noticed a fork that was left from the people before. Food came out and I quickly noticed that my baked potato was not fresh and cold. It didn't melt the butter that was supposed to go on top. It was kind of hard and tough. I also had the bacon and balsamic steak salad. The cinnamon in the dressing was something that I've never had before but I liked it. I had the medium rare steak it was cooked right but it was cold when I got it. I mean cold like it sat for a while before it was brought out. Usually, the chef knows how to make different orders at different times so that all the food comes out at the time and hot.

The wife and I wanted to come see the Haymarket for the Bill Harris Burlington steam engine, so we planned on dinner afterwards at Lazlo's. We both chose the Lazlo burger with a gluten-free bun. Let me tell you, that was one of the best burgers I have had in a while. I normally head to Red Robin when the burger craving hits, but Lazlo's just beat them by a mile. It was juicy and flavorful, with just a hint of pink. That is exactly how I like my burger, because enough moisture remains to keep it from being dry. The honey mustard was quite tasty, one of the better sauces I have had recently. The garlic sauce was too salty for my taste, consider the basket of sweet potato fries had salt already. The server was friendly and accommodating. He explained their Covid-19 sanitation methods for the tables, as well as the hand washing practices they use. The wife and I appreciated this very much. In all, we will return to Lazlo's when we are in the are again, as the food was quite good. The reason for four stars? I had to park a block away to get Handicapped parking for my wife. She has a tough time, especially on a hill.

Went on Memorial Day for dinner. We had a group of 11...they were not busy at all when we arrived, so we were seated quickly. I was a little worried about the place NOT being busy...but it filled very soon after we arrived. Service was very good and attentive. She got the order right and food came quickly. Drink orders were taken promptly and adult beverages were reasonably ok...nothing to write home about...but good enough. Food was ok...we ordered steaks, prime rib, fish, chicken, salads, soups....we ordered across the full spectrum of their menu. Again food was ok....UNLESS you are from Texas and want a raw steak or very rare prime rib.... They wouldn't last in Texas serving barely pink prime rib as rare...if it's not dripping blood it isn't rare prime rib. If you can't get a steak like in the picture...you won't be serving steaks(or anything else) in Dallas. Probably reasonable for downtown Lincoln, but wouldn't fly south of the Red RiveršŸ˜‰ Price is a little on the high side for quality and quantity...but maybe it's ok for Lincoln. For $25 a steak I should get it however I want it....but not here.

Haven’t been to Lazlos in the Haymarket in a while. The food there is normally ok. We went last night and had the worst meals. I will give some credit for my misreading the menu. I thought an item said, bell pepper and it said red pepper. Needless to say my dish was way too spicy for me. The chicken fried chicken was spicy and so overly salty that it was impossible to eat (and this was ordered by a young athlete who will eat all the things). To add insult to injury, the server was rude after our initial order, we hardly saw her again - only when she ran by to ask how everything tasted (didn’t stop to hear our answer) and later when she all but threw our check on the table, and kept going (this was after we talked to the manager - who was rude, as well). As far as the manager, it was a back and forth with her arguing how they’ve always prepared their chicken with lots of spices, etc. Not sure how long she’s worked there but I’ve been going to Lazlos for well over a decade…and have ordered their chicken many many times. I had to ask for more water, we had to ask twice for the lemonade that was ordered before our food, but didn’t get until after our food came out - after we asked for it. We waited for 17 minutes after we got the check for our server to come back so we could pay. She did not return. I finally left cash so we could go. Of course when we stood up to leave a different staff person ran out to get our check (I guess they thought we were going to leave without paying). For a slower Tuesday night, there really wasn’t an excuse for the terrible service and sour attitudes. Oh, the manager removed the chicken dish from the check. We won’t be back anytime soon (I’ll never go back. I spend my money were it’s wanted and earned). Our dog enjoyed...

Went for lunch with my friend who is visiting from out of town, I recommended the place because the food is always great.

As soon as we walked in the hostess had an attitude. Then we sit down and our server, Cece, approached us and was unfriendly from the jump and seemed rushed. She gave us less than a few minutes to decide what we wanted and seemed annoyed that we needed more tim with the menus.

After we ordered it just kept getting worse. One of us ordered the ESB beer and got a completely different beer. When the food arrived, we didn’t have any silverware so we couldn’t eat. We asked a different server twice for silverware and for steak sauce. Cece passed by and basically slammed the silverware on the table, it was startling how rude she was. There was still no steak sauce to be found so we finally asked for the manager.

Manager Jen came to our table and was very upfront about being short staffed and how busy the day was. She apologized profusely and said that we didn’t deserve that kind of service and comped our meals. She was personable, friendly, and attentive. I’m glad she was there otherwise we probably would’ve walked out.

Later after we thought everything was good, Cece came back and slammed the check on the table and said maybe 2 words in passing to me. She was rude the entire time we were in the restaurant, which really pissed me off. We were not disrespectful in any way to her. I get being stressed and overwhelmed, but it doesn’t give you a pass to treat guests like that. I probably won’t come back to dine in but I’ll continue to order to go since the food is delicious.

Would’ve given 1 star, but the food was amazing and Jen rectified the...

Decided to go to Lazlo’s off a recommendation and said why not. When we arrived we were greeted by a beautiful interior and fast seating. From there it was all downhill. We were the last in our section to be waited on and treated like we were young dumb kids. I ordered a local brew and had my I.D. scrutinized (I understand business have to do this) but when other tables around us ordered alcohol it was a quick glance then handed back. Our service after ordering was a snails pace at best and the food was cold. The waiter we had would constantly be refilling drinks, delivering drinks, and checking on food at the tables bordering us. Most if not all tables around us had showed up after we had and we were always the last to receive anything (especially good service). My partner had ordered something that she found a bit too spicy for her liking and asked politely to have something else. When the waiter took it away he yelled out in an annoyed voice for most likely a manager and I could vaguely hear them chatting rudely about how she found the food too spicy. When asked what she would like in place of the food she asked for a Caesar salad. This salad took approximately 25 minutes to arrive. A table adjacent to us had a similar issue and was treated spectacularly. The same waiter we had, apologized and reassured them the food would be taken off the bill and had a replacement meal on the table within 10 minutes of the complaint. This either blatant discrimination of age or just bad service for us in particular is sad and we will most likely never return to this establishment. Hate to get recommended a restaurant that people say they love to find it treats some people...
