The Other Room — Restaurant in Lincoln

My first trip to the other room on Saturday evening. The server immediately came out to tell us they were full and it would be a little bit before they had room. A few minute wait time which was perfectly fine. There’s a nice patio area where we waited. About 10-15 minutes later we were at our table. Ambiance was excellent, super chill and not overwhelming. We ordered our drinks and they came. Upon my first sip I knew I made a mistake. It was strong and likely meant for someone who has a taste for the notes and hints within liquor. I don’t have such a palate. In the past, bartenders have been offended if I’ve said I didn’t like my drink so I was nervous about saying something but I knew I couldn’t finish it. We talked with the server first who was so kind. Told us we ordered 2 of the booziest drinks they serve and they’re happy we told them they weren’t for us. The bartender came to our table to ask what flavors we enjoy. She said she did not want to water our current drinks down because she wanted us to enjoy them. She made us 2 new drinks which were FANTASTIC. She nailed them based on what we said we like. When we left both the server and the bartender thanked us for telling them and let us know how important it is to them for patrons to enjoy their experiences. Every review of this place that Is less than 4 stars is absurd.

So first of all, the atmosphere is just pure fun. Second of all, the bartender was brilliant. Third of all, the drinks tasted incredible.

I am a foodie and craft beverage snob and this place is amazing. My wife and I had 2 drinks each and they were all great. My wife ordered two cocktails made with gin and even though I typically hate gin, I would have gladly chugged her drinks like water.

I watched the bartender craft our drinks and I don't know which one of us had a better time. He did a great job all around.

Like other reviewers mentioned, the drinks are expensive; Not a single beverage on the main menu was under $8. But we're talking about a bar that only fits about 10 people if it's full.

The people who complained about getting shushed sound like jerks. This place is tiny and intimate. Talk like a normal person and you'll be fine. Talk like you're in a frat bar and you might get shushed.

I was so excited when I came to this place! Both my husband and I kept saying that we had to come back! The atmosphere was amazing! The drinks were unique and fabulous! However, when the busser/server came up to us and said "I've warned you 3-4 time to be quiet (this was the first time we'd seen him)", I was totally taken aback. We had had a couple of rounds of drinks, and were planning on getting a third but were informed we were getting cut off. Really not sure what we had done. I suspect that we were 'too old' and they needed to let some other young blood in (although I didn't see anyone standing, waiting when we left), there were other ways to go about this.
