I had a very bad experience at this bar. I don’t know if it was ignorance, racism, or just bad judgement. While in Nebraska for business we came to this bar at least 3 or 4 times. I don’t drink, but normally played pool with my coworkers.
We went to tonight just like always and they asked to see my id, like always. No problem. The door guys then says because my id had a small amount of plastic on the side I could not come in and he said the same thing to another girl of ethnic descent. The cops were called and they checked her id and mine. I have attached the picture.
Cops came said the Ids were good and the bouncer said we could enter. I told the bouncer we were actually going to leave and come back, due to our whole party not being there. I asked for his name and asked if to remember me and asked his name. Something with a K. He said okay.
We come back 45 min later. This time he is aggressive and tells me, “I told you your not allowed in here.” I say, “it’s me the cops told us we were good.” He then goes “Well it’s my discretion and I don’t want you here.” I asked for a manager and showed him that the cops cleared my ID. He tells the manager that he doesn’t want me there. Again, I ask why and he can’t explain why, other than complaining about the plastic on the Id and saying it’s fake. Which was debunked earlier. My party got fed up and we decided to spend our money elsewhere. It was a really bad experience and I feel that I was more than likely profiled. During the first encounter i never raised my voice or got mad. He was just doing his job the first time, but the reason he don’t want me there went deeper then doing a job. It was plain racism. You shouldnt treat paying returning customers that way. I was able to enjoy my places and show my ids at several other places...
Read moreWent tonight with a small group of friends. First came by around 8:15 or 8:30 and saw a group of people standing outside smoking and talking so I didn't think anything of it, because it's downtown and people smoke outside of bars all the time. I tried to open the door to go inside and it was locked, then a lady with blue/green hair moved to stand in front of it. As we were walking away to go somewhere else, someone said I "should have pulled the door harder" and laughed. After going to another bar for a little bit and coming back, they were open, so we went in. The lady that had previously blocked the door checked our IDs, then immediately when back behind the bar and started whispering to the other person there while both of them stared directly at our. This continued the entire time we were there and we all felt uncomfortable. After reading other reviews I can't help but think it's because two of my friends were not white.
I used to enjoy going here but you won't see me...
Read moreA great place to spend your evening. Arcade machines are cheap and well maintained - most of them, anyways. They even have dogs walking around which is super cool! Drinks are a tad on the pricier side considering their size. Pretty small for what you get, and it took the bartender a while to get to my order, even though they weren't that busy.
Also, I saw this place was getting review bombed and so I looked up the context. For those that are curious: a Mexican fellow was turned away because he only had his Mexico ID on him. He then got upset at this and posted on TikTok that the bar is racist and won't let him in because he's Mexican. People have been review bombing this place since. However, it's a pretty common standard for bars not to accept foreign IDs as theyre usually not sure how to determine them as real, and the penalties for serving minors are very strict. So take that...
