Horrible service. Parked and placed an order around 1pm today. Parked ordering was packed as was the drive thru so we tried to be patient knowing lunchtime hours can be busy. After 15 minutes the message on screen said it was being brought to our car. We waited about 10 minutes after that message and hit the order button for the intercom to inquire about our order. The gentleman said the food was coming right out. Waited another 15 minutes and went inside to inquire about our order. A gentleman who said he was the manager went in the back, came back and said the food was coming right out. Went back to my car and waited another 15 minutes. Went back in again and a different gentleman said he was the manager. Explained the situation and asked for our food or a refund since the time and run around was beyond excessive. He said he just saw our food being made and it would be right out. A few minutes later the food arrived. However, the milkshake must have been made when the original order was first placed (almost an hour earlier) and was melted, as were the slushies. Tried to ask about getting this corrected but no one would help. We left and won’t be coming back again. The employees, especially those who are managers, should know how to set expectations for the customer when mistakes are made on your end. Telling them several times that an order Will be right out when you haven’t even started preparing it just pisses the customer off more than an honest answer. Two managers working at the same time and so much wrong with this place.
Edit - To the owners cut and paste response below, I have already filed a complaint with your corporate office and will continue to follow up with them. Your Managers should be doing their job and internally reviewing these situation with your staff without the customer continuously having to jump through hoops. It’s evident this place is a mess if you need so many “managers” on duty at one time and still can’t get it together. Read moreWent twice but never again. First time through the drive thru. When you get in line there is no where you can go; you're stuck! I ordered my food 3 times for him to understand my order. It wasn't complicated either. Proceeded to wait 30 min after I ordered to get to the window. Man told me a price that was far more than my meal should've been. I only ordered one meal with a reg size fry and drink. They added another sandwich to my order. I restated my order again which was what he had down minus one sandwich, then paid and received my drink. Not even a min later he came to the window with one of those red table numbers and a bag of fries then asked me to pull around that my sandwich was still cooking. Wait you mean to tell me 30 min wasn't long enough to make a chicken sandwich? So I pull around. Waited another 20 min to get the sandwich which was blah but by then I finished my drink and fries. Glad I did otherwise the fries would've been cold. But I logged on to their website and submitted a review then received a code for a free drink.
Took that back today and order french toast sticks and an unsweet tea. Waited several min for someone to come up to the front so I could even order. Finally ordered at 0904 and waited until 0918; went back up to the counter which of course no one was at since I ordered. Someone saw me and came up. I asked how long it takes to make the sticks; 2 min. I asked why I've been waiting for 14 min then for them and a drink. They said they got slammed with orders. There wasn't any cars in the drive through and only two cars in the car hop stolls. 3 people is slammed with orders. I don't think the people cooking look ahead at the orders to start that food so they don't get overwhelmed with orders. If I come in and order sticks and the next person orders 3 sandwiches they shouldn't wait until my order is finished to start the sandwiches; they should make them at the same time.
Someone said they give them 6-8 months and I agree. I loved this place in Fl but I never had to wait 14 min for any food there before.

If there is a literal dozen people running around the kitchen, and only 9 cars in the drive through, it shouldn't take so long to complete an order. After moving here from south Texas years ago, I was excited to learn of a sonic coming to Manassas, only to be let down. The line for this place is absurd. First trip I waited 45 minutes in the drive through to get my food. Quality compared to other Sonic locations was mediocre at best. The burger was cold, the bread was hard, and the onion rings were overcooked.
The second trip I made I was told after waiting in the drive through line for 15 minutes that they were taking cash only due to their credit card machines being down.
The third time I went, again a 40-45 minute wait in the drive through since all of the stalls were closed off with cones. A young lady took my order outside by writing it down on card board. She then comes back a few moments later to ask how I was paying, took my card, went to ring up my order, and brought my card back with no receipt. When I get to the window I'm told how much I owe. I showed them in my credit card's app where the purchase had went through and I had already paid. They argued with me a bit but the original woman confirmed I paid. They then tried to hand me items I didn't pay for. Turns out they charged me ($11.01) for the wrong order and proceeded to tell me to "not worry about the difference" because I "paid about 90 cents less" than what my order cost should have been. I eventually shrugged it off and moved on. Again, the food was mediocre.
I decided to make a final trip to see if the quality had improved. After another 40 minute drive through wait, I ordered the exact same order as the previous time and found out it was only $10.47. Turns out I was overcharged the previous trip and AGAIN the food was mediocre.
It's a shame this restaurant is run and operated so poorly. There will not be another...
