We were completely rushed at the speaker box, after asking for a minute we kept being told “is that it” or “anything else.” We repeatedly asked for a moment and kept being met with the same response. At the second window, we were met with the same rudeness. For context, we had 6 drinks and only 2 cup holders in the car. The people at the window originally had them in a drink carrier, but started taking them out and handing them to us one by one. When we asked if we could have a drink carrier we were met with either “we don’t want to waste one on you” or “we don’t want to wait on you.” No matter the one that was said, it was extremely rude. I’ve worked in the food industry for over 4 years now and know it can be frustrating, but you don’t treat anyone like that. We should not have been treated as if we were a burden. Yes it was busy, but that’s not how you people. We were met with constant rudeness from the speaker box to the second window, with the exception at the first window.
On top of that, our fries were cold and soggy, you could tell they were sitting out for quite a few minutes. We also did not receive the portions that are advertised. The 3 piece meals we received had about 10 fries each and barely more than that in the 4 piece meals. Hopefully, for others, this is a one-time thing and does not happen to them. I paid for an extra canes sauce and my bf asked for a honey mustard as well (which isn’t on the menu) so the manager Kaykay took away the cane sauce that we paid for instead of giving us a honey mustard. Then when I went up to ask why she did that when it isn’t on the menu she gave me attitude and said that is corporates issue and she can’t do anything but charge me for the honey mustard. She also gave us both attitude and was quite rude not good attributes of a manger at all… definitely should be looked into. I have worked in customer service for over 5 years and the customer is always right but she chose to argue with me and make me regret choosing canes over something like Zaxbys that I know is good and has good service. The closest canes to us is around 2 hours away and after this experience it isn’t worth a 10 min drive. In addition to all of this the manager Kaykay also continued to talk bad about us after we had walked away from the counter which is against policies of customer service.
Overall this experience was terrible and company’s that hire rude employees like that do not deserve my business and I want to warn others before something similar happens to them. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would the food was fine but the service was absolutely unacceptable.
