Stone's Throw Brewing MacPark Brewpub & Biergarten — Restaurant in Little Rock

Come thirsty not hungry. Stone's Throw is a great brewery and makes one of our favorite beers available year round, the Amadeus Vienna lager. I would highly recommend making it your first beer order here. However, the venue does not have a kitchen on site and instead rely on a revolving list of food trucks. Thus meals are not consistent and frankly not always that good. Additionally parking is non-existent, so get ready to park a couple blocks away and walk. Finally, seating is limited and the more family friendly / cozy atmosphere here lends to people staying for a long time. The beers were good. The atmosphere in this place is terrible. It's small, dingy, old and dark. The other patrons acted like they were depressed, nobody made eye contact with us and mostly had their heads buried in their phones. Guy beside me was watching something on his phone, had his ear buds in and ignored us the whole time he was there. Barmaid was helpful but not particularly friendly either. The bad vibe in there starts with her. I'm not from Arkansas, maybe all the breweries here are like this. True beer geek/student here. The California common is positively exemplary for the style. Rye IPA was also delicious. Cute little place but the patio is not open yet (sounds like it's happening soon though!). I'm only giving three stars due to the bartenders. They were unwelcoming, uncaring, and not attentive. I've drank in breweries and craft beer bars all over our lower 48 states, and I know from experience that being personable and friendly is a big part of craft beer culture.
