LaMar's Donuts and Coffee — Restaurant in Littleton

REAL. Authentic, Old Fashioned style donuts. Awesomely delicious and consistent quality. Great staff! I go to this location about 2-4 times a month for over 2 years and I really can't recall seeing any of the staff in a bad mood or being rude or anything. A little complaint.....It seems that they ALWAYS run out certain types of donuts everyday.(Like the Old Fashioned Sour Cream and Apple Fritters to name a couple) It's understandable to run out of certain types of donuts each day.....But NOT THE SAME EXACT TYPES each day. Like the Apple Fritters? If you don't get there by 10:30 or 11am, regardless of what day of the week it is, you can GUARANTEE that ALL the Apple Fritters will be gone. Again, it's not that big of a deal, but if the store is open until 2 p.m. everyday, I would think that it should make sense that you should be able to get ANY type of donut on the menu until at least 12:00 or 12:30 p.m. One thing that is a BIG pet peeve of mine is COFFEE. I don't care if I walk in the door 15 minutes before closing time. ANY business that is still open and selling coffee, then that coffee, that customers are PAYING for, better be HOT! Not just pretty hot...... H-O-T! I do have to say that probably 50% of the time or more that I get a coffee from here it is more or less lukewarm. Which seems to be the result of what a lot of businesses will do to try and save money... and so if they brew a full pot of coffee and it just doesn't happen to sell before it falls below that ideal temperature, they will still sell it(unless a complaint) and not brew a fresh pot unless they absolutely have to.

Don't mess with my coffee. :-!

Overall though, the friendliness of the staff and consistent, delicious, quality made donuts will keep me...

I love this place way more than is good for my diet. Their Lamar's bars and fritters are to die for. I had to place a large order with them but when I got home I realized it was only half the order. I called, and the woman working apologized profusely for confusing the order. She wasn't sure if she actually had all of the bars on the order, but she told me I could pick whatever I wanted if they were out. She fulfilled the rest of my order when I went back, and gave me cards for free donuts and coffee. She actually thanked me for being nice (always be nice to service industry workers, people). Anyway, this place is fantastic, the staff is really nice and accommodating. Also, don't order online from GrubHub (or Door Dash? Can't remember) if you're doing pick-up. Calling in is best because, aside from the fact that their online orders look weird to the staff when they receive them, they can tell you about specials they have and they'll know if they're out of something their menu shows online. Also, I'm positive that GrubHub must take money for online orders and this place has earned every cent of...

I ordered 8 dozen donuts on Lamars' website 5 days prior to an event I was coordinating. I scheduled to have them picked up late on Friday for the event the next morning. Unfortunately, when I got there, I was informed by Jason that the order was cancelled. Apparently, they have an agreement with DoorDash, who gives the restaurant a 10-minute notice for orders being picked up. Being that it was close to closing, they didn't have enough donuts to fulfill my order. Word to the wise, call them directly if you need to place a bulk order. Jason was empathetic and assured me that they will have the order ready anytime I needed it the next morning. The order was ready, and he even gave me a discount for the inconvenience. I love working with people/organizations who will acknowledge an error and take care of their customers. What could have easily been a one-star review is now a 5-star because of that simple gesture....
