I really loved this store for a long time. Nice to shop in, they'd have seasonal areas that would offer "World Market" style handmade products made all around the world, and their electronics section was great. Ends of the aisles would have clearance items that were marked down to move, and I'd frequent the place often.
However, in the past few years I was made aware of Target's corporate anti firearm and anti Second Amendment stand, which is one of no tolerance for law abiding citizens to carry their legal firearms, either open or concealed, in a responsible manner to provide a level of safety and security to themselves and others. This is ironic because their logo is literally a "target" icon.
Like I said before, I have long loved the Target stores, they offer a lot of products in a similar layout as competing stores, their selection on some items can be a bit more exotic, and their store branded items sold under the Archer Farms name are really fantastic, sometimes flavors and offerings not seen in other store brands or the brand name items they sell next to.
I just can't bring myself to be a patron of an establishment that thinks so little of the Bill of Rights, so I take my business and my money elsewhere. Only reason I was here that day was because they had an exclusive release Blu-Ray movie with extra stuff not found at the other retailers.
Worth noting, the store was very clean, and the bathrooms made you feel like you just took a hearty rip off the bottle of...
Read moreTarget is my favorite store on the planet. We literally shop there all the time. But this specific location in Selma, is the worst. One of the managers, Leah, was so rude after THEY lost items from my pick up order. One of those happened to be a pair of slippers that were on a promotion for free. No appology was given for losing my shit to begin with, no empathy, nothing. I asked if they could order them and just ship them instead. “No”. I asked if I would get the promo back on target circle. “You would have to call for that.” Uh ma’am what is your job exactly? It’s sure as shit not customer service and I cringe for the people you supposedly manage. In the end, good ole Leah tells me she “has to give me a $5 gift card for the inconvenience”. How kind. $5 will bring my once free slippers that yall lost only cost me $10. So I call after I leave because the whole interaction was ridiculous. I got a nice lady, supposedly Leah’s supervisor although I’m not convinced. I ask her why they would give me a $5 gift card to replace the $15 promo that I no longer get because they lost the shoes. She says she can give me the remaining $10 on a gift card. Now, Leah knew good and well she could have done the same thing but chose to be nasty...
Read moreMy visit was on 9/5 at about 10 AM. I went to the cafe to buy a Gatorade and there was no employee working at the cafe. However, 4 employees were sitting at tables in the cafe and did not ask me if I needed any help at the cafe when I was standing there looking confused. I proceeded to the checkout lanes and saw there was an open customer service lane....so I thought. A lady was standing back from the open associate about 15-20 feet staring blankly at a receipt. I proceeded to the counter. The cashier rudely told me that the other lady was in line first, and proceeded to talk with her for several minutes about her recent weight loss while she is returning some items. It sounded like they were friends. The other associate at the customer service lane helped the guy in line BEHIND ME who was not standing there originally. I finally then get to check out my Gatorade with the first associate, and she did not once smile, say hello, ask me how my shopping experience was, say thank you, etc. I am never returning to this...
