OMG!! If you havenāt been to Steveās Livonia Town Grill, you are truly missing out! Steve and his wife Mirella are owners of this restaurant that never disappoints (and even if it did, Steve would make it right!).
Steve is the owner/chef now and manned the kitchen at this same location when it was previously Leon's. Steve continues to offer a huge menu. We have been customers for YEARS!!!
There are always three delicious soups w/ fresh rolls, cracker/butter at his soup bar for you to choose from! You will NEVER find the "dead" lettuce that I have disappointingly found in the salads of MUCH pricier Haggerty Road restaurants. AND soup & salad is included with every dinner as well as a meat, choice of potato & vegetable.
AND there is never a problem changing out one side dish for another at NO extra charge OR asking for double dressing at NO extra charge. Slaw is great as well!
His burgers; salmon/fish/shrimp; broasted, lemon chicken; steaks; turkey dinners are delicious & some of our favorites!!
LOTS of table space for big groups and a basement banquet hall to boot. Have had a wake in the banquet area (no extra charge for the room!) and a 99th birthday in the restaurant area where everyone ordered off the menu ⦠my sibling split the bill with me for 40+ relatives and was amazed at the pricing!!!
The food is tasty and plentiful (check out the broasted chicken for two on the menu) and the turkey dinner with dressing & yams & potatoes/gravy & vegetable, soup, salad roll, etc.
This is probably not considered "fine" dining but then "how very disappointing" to EXPECT an awesome meal, having paid SO much more, only to be served fish with the scales still on, raw pork chops, wilted/ brown leaf salads, steak so tough it cant be eaten and waitstaff that rounds your bill up w\o asking (all local restaurants I no longer eat at ⦠some who rightly have gone out of business)! when you can ALWAYS get a fine, filling well priced meal at STEVĆāS LIVONIA TOWN GRILL!!!
And if you still are not convinced show up on SUNDAY for his breakfast bar!!! OMG!!! CHECK IT OUT!!!
PS: Even as I text this, I hate bragging on LIVONIA TOWN GRILL "only because" Iām afraid I will have to stand in long wait lines at one of the few best eateries in and around Livonia when more & more people realize what an AWESOME place this is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThought I would try this place for the first time.... that was a mistake, service was terrible! When I first entered I waited about 5 minutes while the cashier guy cashed out people leaving, and that's fine. However, once he was done, he pointed at a pile of menus and said "there's the menus and you can sit where you want"š³. Okayyyy....I was doing what their sign said "please wait to be seated". If I knew I was going to be getting my own menu and seating myself, I could have saved the first 5 minutes that I waited to be seated. Ok, not a big deal, past that. Now I'm seated, looking over the menu and while I am waiting for a server (about 10 minutes), I watch 2 other couples come in and be seated. Both tables are attended to before meš¤·āāļø. They were seated by the cashier, served water (I was never offered water), and order taken before me. By now it's been about 18 minutes and I decided I was done, and walked out. I went across the street to good old Leon's where service was great and so was the food. I really wanted to try this place, but Town Grill didn't even give me the opportunity to try their food. Town Grill didn't leave a very good impression with me, and they need to pay better attention to their guests and what's going on in their establishment. Avoid this place if you want good service. Go to Leon's across the street, or George's down the road near the old Sears building. Both places have much better service and their food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointing, unfortunately we won't be back. This was our second visit, the first was with friends a few weeks ago. They really liked the restaurant so we decided to join them for dinner. I had an omelet, my husband had the chicken and ribs. My omelet was overdone, which was not very appetizing. My husband's ribs were cold and the chicken lukewarm. Service was pleasant, though nothing that made up for the mediocre food. Pricing was reasonable for the amount of food.
We decided to give them a second try, just in case the first night was a "fluke". Tonight's service was ok, again nothing that stands out, other than it took a few minutes for our server to come over to our table. Food tonight was again mediocre at best. My husband choose the lasagne with potatoe soup and a salad. Large piece of lasagne (that was impressive), though he said it was kind of flavorless and definitely lacking something. The potatoe soup was bland and very disappointing. I chose the potatoe skins, thinking it would be almost impossible to mess those up. Think again. The potatoes were old. The texture was off and the potatoe itself was grayish (signs of being cut very early and sitting in the air too long). In addition, they were lukewarm when they were brought to the table. Overall, not a...
