Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lockport

Was excited to have my very first Popeye’s experience! Not today I guess. We were on a road trip so first was a visit to the bathroom. Men’s room was out of order. The women’s room was vile. Chunks on the wall, dirty boot marks on the wet “muddy” floor, (no it is not raining today) the door and door handle had finger prints and had some sticky nastiness, they were clearly never wiped down, ever , the mirror looked like it had never been cleaned, the wall under the hand dryer was streaked with dirt, the cleanest thing in the bathroom was the toilet. I came out and my husband said he had not yet been asked for our order. There was one other patron in the restaurant with us and he was standing to the side waiting for his order to come up. One car in the drive thru and four employees who not once made eye contact or recognized our presence while we stood at the counter to order. There didn’t seem to be a crisis or large order they were working on. They were all moving slowly and seemingly wandering, mostly in the prep area behind the front area. We seriously thought we were being pranked. After about 10 mins of no one saying anything my husband asked if they are open and if someone could take our order. We got a “look” and a (talk to the hand) hand from one of the female employees. After that we waited another 2-3 mins. Then she came around the counter, looked at us - no smile, no apology no greeting just said “two minutes, two minutes” as she tapped the counter looked us in the eye and then proceeded to walk back to stand behind the heated food shelf. We waited another 2 mins and then left to go to Chipotle. Believe me, after seeing the bathroom, I was not looking forward to eating there. Looks like it was...

Popeyes sent me a deal in my email for buy 6 wings and get a second 6 wings for $1. I ordered and the wings were old and bruised. I called the popeyes literally 8 times from the number on my receipt which is a Rockford number but to no avail no one answered the phone. I didn't take the food back the same day I took it back the next day because of the distance. When I enter the store the staff at the front was stretching and yawning and didnt speak but did ask how can he help. I asked for a manager and when the manager came to address me he also did not say hello and his countenance was very drab nor did he ask how can he help me. So I told him about me calling the store multiple times with no answer at all and questioned was the number on the receipt the correct number and he said yes and that's all. Then I showed him my food from the day before cuz I didn't eat none of it and he looked at and asked for my receipt. Never addressed the issue of my complaint and said to me how much I paid for the food and thst He could give me something comparable or replaced the wings never offered a refund or an apology for any of my disdain of the food or service at this popeyes. I was hungry so I chose to eat tenders instead of the Buffalo wings. His staff at the front desk made the order and the manager handed me my food with a unempathetic thank you still with no apology. I left without getting either of their names because I was so ready to leave that place and never go back. This is one of the poorest customer service I've ever...

I have no idea how this place even has 3 stars. The excuse "Nobody wants to work" is no excuse for this place. All the other reviews about being dirty, workers on their phones and spending more time playing with each other than working is all accurate.

I don't believe I have ever been there without something missing or wrong. It could be as little as no straw or no spoon but more often wrong chicken, old tasting oil or missing sides.

The last straw was today, at the drive-thru, where my girlfriend and I tried to order through a broken speaker to an inept worker, I am done. After repeating our requests several times we heard "look ma'am, I'm just trying to... " Never heard the rest we just drove off. It wasn't the speakers fault. We ordered the #2, 3 piece, spicy dark meat. We get back in response, "Is that a 2 piece?" Then, "is that spicy or mild" Between the this and the crackling speaker my girlfriend did say "again spicy". For this we got look ma'am...

As much as I prefer Popeyes chicken there are just to many choices to deal with this. I can deal with hit or miss as it's fast food but when it's miss most of the time, I can live without the best...
