We visited Logan, OH and were really excited by this restaurant, especially when we saw the menu. The food completely fell below expectations. The staff was nice and the restaurant was very clean but we were quoted 30 mins and ended up waiting an additional 15 before it was ready. We ordered burrata as the appetizer. 2 entrées: the beef medallions with potatoes and wedding soup & sea scallops with asparagus and side salad. The burrata had the smallest sized drizzle of balsamic and olive oil, absolutely no seasoning. I wish there were a couple of basil leaves, maybe could have tomatoes too and definitely needed some salt. Burrata itself was fresh and creamy but not worth $15. The beef medallions were requested as medium rare but we received them as medium - medium well. Only a child sized handful of potatoes and the side of soup was a very small portion, would guess 3-4oz. That was charged at $37 for the entree and $4.50 for the soup. Lastly, the most disappointing were the $40 scallops. They were the size of quarters, not even jumbo, overcooked, rubbery, and we only received a total of 6. If you are going to advertise as “grilled to perfection to bring out their delicate flavor and tender texture” the scallops were anything but and some of the worst I’ve ever tasted. Doused in garlic and melted margarine (not even butter). The asparagus was thin, shriveled, and overcooked as well. By the time we got back our cabin we noticed the salad was missing so we called. The manager was less than accommodating as we asked for a refund on the salad but were expected to come all the way back. We explained we were exhausted for our plans of hiking earlier in the day and they asked if we could come back the next morning. There was almost nowhere else to eat by the time we realized and weren’t interested in finding another restaurant and waiting again. We also skipped going to the restaurant for a refund on the side salad since we had more plans the next day and decided to cut our losses. The manager did end up sending us a $4 refund on our $5.50 salad. I know this is a newer restaurant but they really need to get the staff on the same page because I never would’ve served a customer that food, especially spending over $100 (including tip) for only two people....
Read moreLet me start by saying I would choose Italian dining 7 nights out of 7 given the opportunity. But it most definitely will NOT be at this restaurant again. Arrived for my birthday celebration with a group of dear friends there was one other table seated in our room. The room is not set up for dining it was so loud we couldn’t hear our table to have a conversation. It’s just one big echoing room. Our drink order was taken, all but one who just got completely skipped. 10-15 minutes drinks came out, another 15 before our appetizer order was taken. By now two additional tables had been seated. Those two tables received drinks and appetizers before we got ours. Finally apps come, another 15 dinner orders taken, finally drink refills except the one that gets skipped again. By now those two tables have been served their dinner, and a third table is now being served their dinner, we still wait. Finally asked where our food was, we wait another ten. FINALLY food served, we’ve now been there over 1.5 hours. Food cold, one dinner completely missed, and one changed the side from roasted red potatoes to fries because they were out of red potatoes, great except now I can’t eat anything on the plate because you not only chose to switch my side without bothering to ask me but you put fried food (that is fried in a frier with seafood) on top of my chicken and I’m highly allergic to seafood. WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER. THE WORST PART…even with all this I’m forgiving especially of new businesses, and this review could have been completely avoided had a manager only bothered to come speak to us and make apologies instead they chose to completely ignore...

Voltolini’s is exactly what it promises — a Spaghetti Western. Not five-star fine dining, but good, hearty Italian food with a little cowboy character, tucked away in the hills. And honestly? We really enjoyed it.
We started with the meatball appetizer, which came with both marinara and Alfredo sauces. The meatballs were excellent — homemade in-house daily, and you could tell. We split the chopped salad next. It was a nice entrée-size portion, though the lettuce was a little on the soggy side. The bread they brought out (free of charge) was delicious — warm and soft. The butter had that garlicky pizza-joint flavor, which might not be for everyone, but we asked for olive oil and they brought some right out. It was perfect for dipping.
For our main dishes, we had the manicotti and the chicken Alfredo. Both were solid, but the Alfredo was the winner — creamy sauce, well-seasoned, and served with two good-sized chicken cutlets. We also tried both soups: minestrone and Italian wedding. Both were tasty, but we all agreed the Italian wedding had a slight edge.
Service was great. Ashlee was friendly and on top of everything. I’ve seen some mixed reviews, but as long as you go in knowing what this place is — a rustic, theme-y Italian spot that leans into its Spaghetti Western vibe — you won’t be disappointed. I eat out a lot and have pretty high standards, and this was a...
