Dessert anatomy is new to Loma Linda . It's a small family owned and operated bakery. Making delicious Filipino treats. My family and I really enjoyed Filipino baked goods. So I was super excited to try this new joint. It's really cute and inviting inside. With lots of friendly faces.
From the moment I walked in I was welcomed and greeted by a friendly young lady. She helped me with all my choices. I opted on 4 buko pandan cups, 4 red velvet cupcakes, 1 espresso cupcake, 1 rocky road cupcake, 2 Brazo de Mercedes cupcakes, 2 ube cupcakes, 1 ube cheesecake, & 1 mini yema cake.
So the verdict on my choices are Buko pandan 10 out of 10 will be coming here on the regular for these yummy bad boys!
Red velvet cupcakes 5 out of 10 a little dry and too sweet
Espresso cupcake 3 out of 10 super dry and frosting was not good
Rocky road cupcake 5 out of 10 a little dry
Brazo de Mercedes 5 out of 10 a tad too sweet on the meringue and the meringue gets super stuck to the cupcake wrappers
Ube cupcakes 7 out of 10 a little dry
Ube cheesecake 8 out 10 could be a bit bigger
Yema cake 10 out of 10 very delicious and will be returning for this yummy treat
I also want to come back to try their Halo Halo and a few other tasty looking goodies they have.
Overall a great new addition to Loma Linda Ca. I definitely recommend...
Read moreDessert Anatomy is our new and favorite go-to for filipino desserts in the Loma Linda area! We ordered an Ube cake for our mom's 80th birthday and Dessert Anatomy did not disappoint. Customer service/communication was on point during the ordering process. Genuinely invested in accommodating and/or addressing every ask we had, they had a lot of questions for us to make sure they were clear on what we wanted. The attention to design and detail exceeded our expectations. We wanted the flowers to look realistic, just as we had seen on their social media. GORGEOUS. GORGEOUS. GORGEOUS (see pictures below). Truly a work of art. The cake was delicious. Dense, moist cake, full of flavor, akin to a sumptuous vanilla (for those who have not tried ube) with rich ube frosting. And most importantly, our filipino mom's highly discriminating taste buds were more than satisfied which was literally, THE icing on the cake. She was immensely happy with it all. Thank you Dessert Anatomy for your work and delicious experience!...
