Quality has slipped severely! I used to go to Heidi's deli ALL THE TIME. Then I switched jobs and Heidi's wasn't near by anymore. I was so happy to see this Heidi's in Lone Tree today! I haven't had a sandwich from Heidi's in YEARS! I stopped in and ordered what used to be my favorite sandwich. Great service, just as I remembered. I was very excited to bite into that wonderful, amazing goodness. HOWEVER, when I unwrapped it I was absolutely shocked and disappointed. The sandwich I used to order all the time that came STACKED with tons of meat and cheese on thick, thick sliced bread. Was now being served on fairly thin sliced bread with hardly anything between the two thin slices. I couldn't believe it! I opened the side of coleslaw and realized I had received soup. Not soup in the literal term, but the crisp cool coleslaw I used to love was now a cup of cabbage floating in a cold milky broth. The foil wrapped pickle spear was also quite a disappointment as well. It was tiny, mushy and not crisp what so ever. It looked as if it had been frozen and thawed a number of times. I just couldn't believe that my beloved Heidi's deli had actually served me this! To think I paid nearly $12 for this meal too! So not only has Heidi's decided to cut back on their quality and quantity they've also raised the price by nearly a third. This same meal used to cost just over $8 in the downtown location. This is unlike any of the other Heidi"s stores. The homemade soups are phenomenal. Kerry makes the soups fresh based on her grandmother's recipes. The only reason I know this is because I don't normally like soup, and I told them this and that is when I was told that all the soups are made in house from scratch. Kerry, who makes the soup, told me that she loves to make soup and loves to offer about 8 soups weekly with 4 or 5 options changing every week. Among my favorites are the chicken and dumpling, the cream of asparagus, the chicken and wild rice, the chipotle chirizo and bean, and the ham and bean soups. The counter help is terrific and will give you a sample to try, Goran will give great service. The chicken salad sandwich is so good. They will sell you a half a sandwich, piled with chunky chicken on your choice of fresh baked bread. There are a lot of regulars.
