This restaurant (at Nordstrom, Park Meadows) used to be a pleasant destination experience. When Paula and Crystal were managers, the place was GREAT, and they really paid attention to make sure the customers were very satisfied with food as well as service. The food is not nearly as well prepared, and the service is suffering. Our waitress today was inattentive and made us feel like it was a real chore for her to fulfill simple requests. I had a "cold brew", and it was dated best by 5/5/23 ------ our waitress tried to explain that 5/5/23 was when it was made, but I Informed her that it was meant to be consumed by 5/5/23 (toady was 5/15/23). When the bill came, she did not charge me for it. When the kitchen staff comes out to use the rest room, they don't look like they are enjoying their job (like they can't wait for quitting time). All of the wait staff speaks highly of Austin, the bartender, and we have had him wait on us ------ and we always feel like we are being waited on by a diesel mechanic. We used to enjoy good meals and great service several months ago, and would enjoy visiting at least once or twice a week. It will probably be a long time before we go back. Although it is twice as far for us to travel to Nordstrom Cherry Creek, we enjoy the menu and service much better, and occasionally take time to enjoy a meal at that...
Read more2 stars might be generous. Not what I expect of a Nordstrom cafe. Took over 40 minutes to get served and overpriced portions were small. Waiter mentioned his truck just got stolen right before handing us our check, presumably for a bigger tip. Then he handed me back someone else’s debit card and gave my credit card to another patron. I didn’t notice for 2 days as the cards were from the same bank. I called and spoke to the manager who said she would try to find the guest whose debit card I got on LinkedIn and contact him. It’s been weeks and she’s never called back. I would think a restaurant would have offered to comp my meal or offer a gift certificate for my inconvenience caused by their mistake, and which I’ve never had happen in decades of using credit cards at restaurants. It took nearly 3 weeks for me to get my card replaced. And during the one call I had with the manager, she kept dismissively referring to me as “hon.” It was extremely off putting. I will not...
Read moreLove this place so much! The look of their (fresh baked) warm cookie sundae has changed in the last 8 years but it still tastes delicious as ever!! Seriously my all time favorite dessert. I ask for two scoops of ice cream so there enough for every bite. It really is good ice cream too. I do miss the pickle appetizers they use to give with every meal and the quality of the food isn't always as good as it was before. There salads are rather large just as a warning. Children can color on the table and the children's menu isn't too bad offering fruit as a bonus but it's nothing special. My son would prefer a salad or more vegetables on the side. Ultimately this generation is utilizing baby led weaning and healthier meals so it would be a huge step up for them to have a menu that better...
