Lolli & Pops — Restaurant in Lone Tree

I used to like this place even though it’s way over priced. But the last 3 times I went it was very different. Maybe new owners or new suppliers but either way it went WAY down hill. The chocolate covered raisins were stale and had many whitish brown ones that indicate stale chocolate. The nice kid running it said they come like that. they don’t and he knew it. Then the second time ago they had them but they were mixed with chocolate covered peanuts. They look the same. Luckily I don’t have a peanut allergy but I know that could be fatal to some people. That at the least will be a lawsuit waiting to happen but hopefully that’s all. Last time everything was fine and was where they were supposed to be but many other candies were out of stock. Staff is usually indifferent and really don’t care. I have a feeling it starts at the top because the kids running it obviously don’t have supervision. I just looked at their reviews AFTER I wrote mine. Well it seems many feel the same as I do. They also garner the exact same copy and paste response telling people to email them. Becoming disappointed in this location. My family and I travel to Park Meadows mall once a month. We always liked going here to grab candy while visiting, especially the Haribo raspberry and black berry candy. About six months ago, this store was always out of them. Generally were told they ran out or they're on order. It has gotten worse with other candies. We were there on 9/28, and my daughter wanted a Tootsie pop, something she has gotten before. Out of those too. At that point I looked around and there was a great deal of empty candy containers. Not sure if I'll keep going back there when I go...

On several occasions when visiting this store I witnessed a number of teenagers digging into the bulk candy bins with their hands and eating the candy without paying for it. After seeing this occur multiple times I informed the store manager. He responded that he isn’t “allowed” to say anything about it. It’s unfair to paying customers to pay the inflated prices for this candy just so others can eat it for free. The store should work to increase staff to help prevent such unsanitary practices...
