Jack's NYC Bagels and Deli — Restaurant in Long Beach Township

It’s a shame to me that you can’t leave zero stars as a review because maybe then the owner will get his head out of his tail and realize his shop sucks! Not only are their customer service and organizational skills both poor, but this may be one of the worst bagels I’ve ever had in this great state. My whole wheat everything bagel honestly tasted like it was ripped off a cardboard box and lathered with cream cheese, almost making it impossible to bite into. The owner was giving customers making big orders attitude and tbh you would think he’d be a little bit more appreciative to have customers to give stale bags to, especially with how bad every aspect of his store is. Just hard to believe anyone would want to open a store just to run it so unsuccessfully, then treat people who pay your bills and keep your lights on with such disrespect. And honestly, with how poorly this place is run, I wouldn’t be surprised if the only thing they’re good at is wasting people’s time, being rude, and ruining appetites with...

The staff was extremely rude. The cashier was taking a personal call when we walked in and made us wait until she was finished with her phone call. She then proceeded to speak to us like we were stupid by interrupting us and making us repeat the order multiple times. It seems that shes frustrated with her job and cannot keep up with customers ordering. Would not recommend visiting here if you are a person of color and we will definitely not be coming back.

It also seems the owner doesnt take accountability for disrespectful staff and instead blames the patrons. I’m not sure how you could have reviewed tapes and how your “girls” were right when there was no action or argument in question. It was the dialogue and tone of voice. Instead of disregarding negative customer reviews I suggest you learn from it and retrain your staff as well...

This place's specialties are a suck sandwich and despicable customer service. If you're looking to indulge in a delicious sandwich served with a smile, look the other way. Jack, I used to dream about being a teacher or an astronaut or a doctor but I've decided my new passion in life is to dissuade any potential customers from ever entering your deli. I was given the wrong order and then refused any kind of refund or exchange. Was given the excuse "you left the store with it". If I ever unravel my sandwich to check for accuracy while standing in the store, call the ward and check me in because that is psychotic behavior. I'm thinking about starting a GoFundMe for the unfortunate employees that are suffering under his reign. Jack is the epitome of crotchety old man and I hope he either learns compassion or his business suffers...
