My husband, daughter & I were visiting family in Long Beach. They were coming back from swimming and soccer practice. So we needed to feed 4 hungry growing kids ages 8 to 14 and 5 adults. Chick-fil-A seemed an obvious choice for picky eaters. My daughter downloaded the Chick-fil-A app, took down the extensive list of the classic chicken sandwich with & without pickles, chicken nuggets, a plain classic chicken just meat and bread. The spicy chicken sandwich, two wraps, a market salad and a ton of waffle fries.
This being my first experience, I was excited about the menu choices. I figured this would be a good introduction. My daughter ordered the food online & was able to specify when to start cooking the order as we left the house for the short 1.2 mile drive to the restaurant conveniently located in the Long Beach Town Center. The hardest part of picking up the order was finding parking until we saw the parking specifically for mobile ordering! We walked into the clean and busy store which had the heavenly sauce, condiment, utensil and napkins station, Ahh (place Angel's singing here!) We waited for maybe 2 minutes when a pleasant, happy & polite Chick-fil-A associate brought out our food in a large plastic shopping bag for the hot food and another for the wraps and salads. I was ecstatic I had my backpack as a purse, because not knowing what sauces everyone would like on their sandwiches or fries I took a few of all. My daughter told me the trick to dipping the fries were to try the polynesian and the original Chick-fil-A sauce together.
Well, needless to say, the food was perfectly prepared. The fries were a little mushy but still warm and crunchy on the outside acceptable due to the car ride, combined with the aforementioned duo sauces was a great foil for the fries. The sandwiches were amazing. Original chicken, the chicken was crispy yet full of flavor and was an ideal complement to the steamed bun and tangy pickles, nothing else needed. The wrap is a little pricey for size but had a good flavor and texture, the lime ranch dressing totally made it. Too full to eat the salad but eager to try later with the vinaigrette dressing. Thumbs up for a satisfying first meal for a hungry, picky bunch. Bravo, we will be back. And can't wait to try the one close...
Read moreThe worst customer service from the assistant manager and owner (John) of chick fil a. My family has been coming to this chick fil a for 11 yrs for breakfast , convenient after school lunches and dinner. My kids enjoyed the play area for yrs as toddlers. It's unfortunate that they treated me like a dishonest person that just wanted free meals! I had my receipt from my morning purchase and still was not good enough. I had ordered 2 meals for my sons and dropped them off at school as a special surprise. At school pick up my sons where extremely disappointed, angry and hungry because their lunches where not what they usually eat (there was pickles in the sandwich and strips instead of nuggets). I explained the entire situation to the female/male assistant manager at the drive thru window and she/ he asked for the food to confirm their mistake. I explained that my middle schooler had thrown it away and that I didn't expect them to carry fast food bags and drinks to their classes throughout the day. She /he says " unfortunately I cant". I stopped her right there and said no thank you, I don't need this, I will never come here again! She then responds "Thank You!" I drive by the front of the restaurant and recognize the owner John, I approach him and explain the situation . Finally! Someone that cares about customers and customer service, I thought. ! I followed him inside and he has me wait while he goes in the kitchen. 10 min later, he comes back out with my original receipt and a copy. I asked why he was taking so long? John ( owner) responds " I can't just give away free food!" It's not free food , I paid for it, you have my receipt, your employees made the mistake, all I want is the food I ordered earlier" I said to him. He said "I need to look up the receipt and verify the mistake." Really? Just for a kids meal and adult combo, I couldn't believe it! I was extremely disappointed and humiliated that he accused me of wanting free food in front of other customers! They lost a true loyal customer , my family and I will not be returning. They don't deserve my business. Please don't give them your business, they don't deserve it. There's a new chick fil A that just opened on Los...
Read moreOn 04/09/2020 at approximately 1:30PM, after working a 18 hour shift and on my 1 hour drive home. I decided to pull off the 605fwy and grab some food at my favorite restaurant Chick-Fil-A. The drive through had a long line which is expected do to closer of the dinning room. Unfortunately I had to use the restroom and decided that before I got into the drive through lane I would use the public restroom inside the restaurant. To my surprise I was told that I could not use the restroom and I explained to the rude employee handing out food orders by the front left exit that I wanted to use the restroom before I waited in the drive through line. The female employee ask me if I had already placed my order as if I had called in then she would allow me to use the restroom. I politely ask her if I place my order now could I use the restroom then. She turned around and ask a male employee behind the counter (looked like her supervisor by his body language and mannerisms) he looked at me through the window and ask her if I was waiting for my order and she said no. He told her I was not allowed to use the restroom. A few other customers waiting for their food also made comments to me that they are ridiculous. I guess it’s all about the MONEY AND PROFITS forget about treating customers like humans. I spend an average of $200 per month at various Chick-fil-a throughout the San Gabriel Valley. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the quality of food. Its about treating customers with dignity and respect. I guess you can already guess what’s next. I will NEVER spend 1 dime in a Chic-Fil-A again. Christian owned business. Not any Christians I wanna be affiliated with. Enjoy your profits guys I truly hope it’s...
