Not to bury the lede: This place is quirky and delicious. The humanoid burger mural inside the small eatery pulls you in as you're heading south down fourth. The menu is taught and confident: yes, that buttermilk chicken sandwich is bomb, says my girlfriend; indeed, the sourdough grilled cheese with added caramelized onions hit my gourmet spot (this is a terrible pun that I am owning and I accept your judgment as the price to pay). They also sell beer by the can and liquor by the bottle -- the supermarket check-out candy rack equivalent as you're wrapping up your order. The staff is kind. Best of all, this purchase nearly didn't happen. Neither I nor my girlfriend had a wallet on us, but Sideburns is listed on Postmates, so I stood outside and placed a pickup order as a workaround. Support your local shops and eateries. If you happen to live near this one, show it some love. Hands down the best burgers in town! The blue cheese burger was the recommendation from the bartender at "THE STASH", and he was right, it is soooo good! And you can't beat the prices here either, for about $10-12 bucks per person your burger(they have all kinds to choose from and all are super yummy) and choice of crispy onion rings or fries comes neatly packed in boxes for take out. This is definitely one of those places that doesn't look like much from the outside, in fact we didn't even know they served food until they were featured in last summers "LONG BEACH BURGER WEEK", which is how we found this place.
