Butterscotch LBC — Local services in Long Beach

I've followed Butterscotch on IG for a while now and finally made the trip down to the shop. Definitely a cool little spot. I needed to pick up a pair of PF Flyers and figured it would be a good reason to check out the store, rather than buying online. The shop is really nice inside. Not set up like an average clothing store. It had a nice feel to it and definitely added to the experience. I had my two small Sons with me, so I had to make sure I kept a close eye on them with so much nice stuff around. The Owner was very friendly and helpful. He helped my get my shoes and didn't seem the least bit annoyed with small children in the shop. Sometimes kids can be a pain, and sometimes kids can be annoying, but they didn't phase him at all. Still super friendly. Someone who definitely appreciates and cares about his customers. Which is exactly why I like to give my business to actual local business owners rather than large conglomerates when possible. There's a wide range of items and price ranges. So even if you're not the guy who buys $500+ jackets or boots, there's still something for you as well. I really like the shop T's, they're comfortable and affordable. First of all, this Gem of a store ain't for everyone, but those of you who like and appreciate quality products and doesn't mind paying a fair price for it, you are in for treat. From Nudie Jeans to Left Field NYC to Billy Kirk to Mexican Coke, I can assure you that product Tommy carries are top notch stuff. In fact I have been buying and supporting some of the brands he carries before his shop opened up. So it was great news to me that he opened up his shop so close to my work, so I don't have to deal with shipping charges and other tidbits when I shop, etc....But the real reason I go to his shop is because he has great advice on fitting, his expertise on the product he carries, so you know what you are getting, and his friendly service that is beyond what you expect out of your typical brick and mortar store. I recommend this place to anyone who is all about that...

Been shopping here for at least a few years now. I’ve probably placed around 10 orders to date. Tommy always makes sure items shipped in a timely manner & packaged with care.

These days we all need to support these small businesses & show them the respect when things don’t work out perfectly. It’s a pain for all businesses that deal with shipping companies & ultimately shipping issues.

It’s important for the consumer to know that once an items leaves the store it’s out of their hands. Patience and general understanding of shipping policies is a responsibility of the consumer. Getting package insurance is super easy these days & guarantees you won’t have a headache if an issue takes place.
