Smog City Brewing Co. at SteelCraft — Restaurant in Long Beach

I'm gonna give Smog City Brewery 5 stars because of their service. Let me explain why: I'm not a beer drinker, at all. 1 Corona is about all I can have (I'm a lightweight, rookie, whatever u wanna call it) but I wanted to try a beer to go along with the food I had just ordered from next door @ThePigPen. I told the bartender that "I wasn't a beer drinker but that I was in the mood for a beer, what would she recommend?". She was 'very friendly' and 'suggestive', she asked "what I was in the mood for, something light, dark, lagger or something bitter?". I said "something light" and she immediately suggested a couple of drinks. She let me try them both so that I could make a decision. I ended up going with a drink called "Oktoberfest" and it was pretty good. It was 7 bucks for that drink but I appreciate the service from the bartender so it was worth...

It's not often that I write reviews for breweries, but every now and then one stands out. Smog City was the most pleasant surprise of our trip. We started with a flight and loved every single beer. The uniqueness of flavors is special in today's day and age of craft beer while everyone is trying different combinations that don't always hit. Smog City definitely got it right from the sours to the stouts. But no matter how good the beer is, the bartender can make or break the experience. So shout out to Paul for being so awesome. He was knowledgeable about the beer, easy to talk to, and was all around a good dude. We definitely will be coming back here on...

I love smog city, the original location has great beers, knowledgeable staff, and i like that there's a local spot i can go to now.

But there is a particular server at this steelcraft location that is so aloof and rude, it ruins it for me. Gave it another chance to see if he was just having a bad day, but nope. Experience was similarly rude, and similarly off-putting. He even ignored us completely the first time, and another very nice lady ended up helping us instead. She was great and friendly. She looked his way and saw that he was blatantly ignoring us, and came to help. Anyway two stars for poor...
