I've been coming to this place since 96. And about 4 years ago moved out of Long Beach and recently returned. I wanted to have a little nostalgic lunch so I decided to go to Tito's bakery which I have literally raised my daughter( who's well into her 30s now) and myself on. First thing I noticed is there were no breads. This place has been on 4th Street forever and has always sold all of the good Mexican pastries since I can remember. Apparently there must be a different family that owns the restaurant now and you could definitely tell. From the sassy young woman with no customer service etiquette taking your order to the fact that they don't take debit cards you must have cash or go through venmo or zelle. Read moreThis place has completely gone downhill. The woman working the front was rude, unwelcoming, and acted like we should be grateful just to be there. No smile, no basic respect—just attitude. I brushed it off because I remembered loving the burritos years ago and my family has been loyal customers for a long time. Big mistake.
The food was disgusting. The burrito was 90% dry scrambled eggs, barely any potatoes, and just a sad swipe of beans like they were rationing it. My friend literally counted four potato chunks in hers. It was nothing like how it used to be—bland, cheap, and thrown together like they don’t care anymore.
On top of that, the place felt dirty and uncomfortable. We allowed ourselves to be treated like trash for food that wasn’t even worth it. If there’s new management, it shows—in the worst way.
We’re done. My entire family will no longer support this place. And someone seriously needs to retrain the woman at the front before she ruins what’s left of your business. If she can’t even fake basic decency, she shouldn’t be the face of your...
