Disappointed in the food not the same as it used to be the overpriced charge you you don't get the food that you want or that they show in the pictures or they do not give you the food that is crackling in the pictures I wouldn't mind paying their prices if they gave me the food that I see in the picture like when I order my food and there should be walnut shrimp with a cream sauce there isn't no on the shrimp the mistakes on the skewers that came with the bell peppers they don't give you no steaks on the stairs with bell peppers anymore and they don't give you much steak or bell peppers anymore I used to give you pork fried rice with the they don't give you that anymore I used to give you a chicken shot dish and then cabbage noodles dish they don't give you any of that I'm very disappointed in this restaurant how much they have changed and overcharged you I come a long ways Chinese food at some places I expect the best of their best and I always end up seeming getting the worst have gone downhill over the years so I figured I decided to stop by there on my way back from Spokane after 8 hours of driving I was very hungry so I stopped to have a bite to eat at one of my childhood favorite restaurants and instead got the worst service I've ever had in my life the food was disappointing they charge you $26 almost for their food when you get to go orders they come in a plastic box all Chinese restaurants should have changed back to the paper ones they want to use before and instead they're trying to get cheaper and Cheaper by skimping you out on the food they give you less food Play Take a meal that's supposed to have all kinds of vegetables in it it's absolutely no vegetables but onions and a teriyaki sauce that there's more sauce than there is anything they make sure they put onions in and then there's the fried rice pork fried rice should be fresh pork fried rice add leather pork I've become disappointed in this place and will never go back 2 overpriced and they no longer make the food like they used to most Chinese restaurants do the same thing too a lot of the vegetables and peppers and pineapple out of the food that they're making for you which used to come with your food on your plate but put the food that it's supposed to be in your food your food like sweet and sour pork supposed to have pineapple bell peppers in it they don't anymore then there's the walnuts with a sweet honey glaze shrimp they don't do it anymore sprinkle a little bit of stuff it's very disappointing I'd rather pay fresh and buy my own vegetables in my own fruit and make my own homemade Chinese food because it turns out 20 times better how did you save yourself a whole hell of a lot of money making it at home the memories I used to have a Chinese restaurant I don't have them anymore...
Read moreWent to this place because it has 4 stars on Google and Yelp. Place looks good so that was promising. The menu offers good variety with a number of combos. The service was poor. The waitress we had asked if we wanted tea to which we said yes and then we wound up sitting there for a while and had to ask the bus person for our tea after he gave tea to the table of people that came in after us. The food took at least 30 minutes to come out. The two tables next to us joked about giving us their leftovers before we went hungry because they had waited so long too. Everytime we wanted anything we had to stop our waitress as she was running by and each time she never actually stopped resulting in me stating each request (napkins, more water, mustard, etc) after she was 3 feet past our table and she acted like we were bothering her. My mom and I both ordered combos and when the food arrived it was a lot of food. We could have just ordered one combo and split it. The bbq pork was not hot and didn't have much char siu on the outside, the honey shrimp was good, my mom ordered sweet & sour chicken without the sweet & sour sauce (I know, right!?!) Which was decent. Neither one of us liked the rice or the chow mein. Then my Mom's full water glass slid off the table (The table tilts a little and the condesation caused a hydroplane effect) and landed on her bench seat getting her purse and jacket wet. As she got up she had a wet spot the size of the cantelop on her. I had to hunt for someone to come clean it up. They came over with only a few napkins to wipe the booth. I had to go find the manager and complain because no one offered my mom a towel or anything. When we asked for to-go boxes, because neither one of us had really touched the chow mein or rice, the owner/manager did comp my Mom's meal and apologized that they were short staffed as someone called off at the last minute. Even with more attentive staff, we would never go back because we felt the food quality was...
Read moreDecent location, clean restaurant, staff was very nice (the staff is the best part of the whole restaurant). We came here because it was rated one of the highest restaurants in the area, especially for Chinese food. Unfortunately, the food didn't really do it for us. That's not to say that it was bad -- it was just very different, and not our kind of different. The General Chicken was extremely tangy. My wife also commented on another dish -- and she was wondering if it was soaked in vinegar to give it more of that tangy taste. Don't get me wrong -- I ate plenty of the General Chicken, but the flavor just isn't what I like or expect from General Chicken. So... it wasn't bad, but just wasn't good either. The worst part about their menu is they seem to be VERY inflexible on "substitutions." We're not big pork fans. And, unless you really like shoving pork, pork, pork , pork, pork, down your pie-hole, you might want to consider a different location. They had pork in just about everything... port in the Hot and Sour soup... pork in the rice... shoot, even the kids' menu was riddled with pork as EVERYTHING had pork as a main ingredient except for the one vegetarian dish. We just ordered other food for the kids. On the lunch menu just about every dish comes with BBQ Pork. Sorry, but not interested. For my General Chicken dish I asked if I could have chicken fried rice instead of the pork fried rice. I was told "no." So... I guess they pre-make this huge vat of BBQ Pork and Pork Fried Rice, so that's what they push on everyone or include in every meal. So, because of the 'different' taste of the food, which we weren't huge fans of, and the fact that pork seems to be in everything, and we're not pork fans, and they don't allow substitutions... it knocks a couple starts off the rating for us. Obviously, our opinion of the place is not in the majority, as it has pretty high ratings. Then again, they seem to rate everything pretty high...
