1️⃣adrift & tonic (non alcoholic drink)- The flavor was quite unique, though my boyfriend found it hard to get used to—likely due to the strong cucumber taste. Personally, I found it interesting; while the first sip felt unfamiliar, it grew on me over time.
2️⃣bleeding hearts (non alcoholic drink)- Excellent and refreshing with a tangy, sour profile. However, those who prefer sweeter drinks might not enjoy their non-alcoholic offerings, as they lean towards sour flavors. This drink is a great choice for pomegranate lovers.
3️⃣clams -The clams were fresh and sweet, and the broth paired wonderfully with the bread. Unfortunately, the toast was overly hard, making it difficult to bite into. If it were softer, it would have complemented the broth even better.✅✅✅
4️⃣duck-The duck was beautifully prepared, showcasing classic techniques. However, the sauce underneath—possibly vinegar-based—was slightly salty, which may overpower the dish for some. Yet, I still recommend it to everyone who visits here.✅✅✅
5️⃣arroz negro (black ink rice)-Though it looked small, it was surprisingly filling. Adding larger pieces of squid would enhance the texture. The black ink sauce was rich and flavorful, delivering a distinct oceanic essence throughout.✅✅
6️⃣panna cotta (dessert)- A must-order for panna cotta enthusiasts! Esp if u like cheesy and milky dessert.
It's a bit strange that this restaurant includes a 6% healthcare surcharge for their employees. I don’t quite understand the point of explicitly mentioning it on the menu. The message says, "A 6% charge is included in your bill, but if you’d prefer not to pay, just let us know."
To be honest, it feels a bit like moral pressure—I've already left a tip, and now there's an additional 6% charge. Including it on the menu makes it feel unexpected and somewhat uncomfortable.
Everything was a total 153.70 (including 6%) and den w tax + tips, which turned out to be 198usd 👹lol (this is the reason why I left a 3, it was supposed to be 4)
oh and valet parking is 12usd,...

I am so sorry to give you guys 1 star because I love who you guys are and that's why my cousin and I chose to eat here.
We stopped in Friday night for dinner around 7pm. Wait time was 45 minutes but we decided to sit at the communal table which she openings. I ordered the Hanger Steak and my cousin the Scallops. She loved her dish. She couldn't be more elated. IIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii on the other hand was quite disappointed.
My first steak came out very very chard. I tried explaining this to Joe our waiter and he had to be told what chard meant. I thought I was being dramatic about how many times I had to explain what was wrong with the steak that a young lady next to me even had spoken up.
I shared my cousin's baby potatoes as we waited for my new dish and those were delectable. Second steak comes out and it was perfect! Juicy, boody and tender. Ariel why are you still not happy then? Because the crap was SALTIER THAN SPONGEBOB'S FOREHEAD. (have no clue what that means)
I even had the young lady next to me try it and asked her if she liked it. She said it was super salty before I even gave my input because I wanted an unbiased opinion.
Well long story short customer service sucked. Joe was sweet as a pea in a box but he was pulled every which way. Please get two servers for the communal table or at least a designated runner. Or don't give it to someone who can't handle stress and pressure. The lady's in the front as real sweet but they don't do much so as they should. And house rep was very attentive to our concerns.
The wine was Devine I'm sorry I don't remember what I had lol. But my 1 star stick. Sorry loves. ...
Read moreMy daughter and son-in-law chose to have their wedding dinner in the wine room private dining space in the West Hollywood location of AOC in October 2022. The entire event was simply enchanting. From the moment our party of approximately 14 people arrived, and our very attentive servers were waiting with drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres, to the last bite of the 5 course meal, we were treated to a one-of-a-kind dining experience. In fact, my son-in-law, who was born and raised in France, said this was best dining experience he’d ever had. The dining experience made for a truly fun adventure for both sides of the family to share with a progression of small plate courses rolled at the perfect pace so as not to feel rushed but also to maintain a certain energy. Our entire party thoroughly enjoyed every course and having the opportunity to sample a range of carefully prepared and delicious cuisine. A curated list of craft cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages from which to choose also complemented the wonderful food.
The ambiance of the wine room absolutely lived up to and exceeded the description on the website: “…one of Los Angeles’ most intimate and memorable private dining experiences. Original wood paneling lines the walls, ceiling and floors, offering a glimpse of our extensive wine collection, balconies overlook our lush outdoor garden patio.” It was truly a warm and inviting space that was the perfect spot for our families to get better acquainted and share in a unique experience. Our dedicated servers were impeccable and enjoyable.
Finally, the pricing format at AOC is more along the lines of all-inclusive rather than itemized, which made it a better value than many other LA restaurants/venues. All-in-all this evening was perfect...
