LONG POST WARNNG: This was BY FAR the worst dining experience I've encountered. There were 5 of us. I was paying for myself & someone else. The other 3 were separate. Jesus was our waiter. He did good explaining the drink & appetizer options. Drinks & appetizers were fine. From there the experience went downhill & rolled around in the gutter. My guest ordered lamb medium-well. I ordered lobster mac&cheese. This dish is mac&cheese served on a split lobster. First, it literally took our table 45 minutes to get food. Every other table got served in a timely manner. Next, decent restaurants serve all entrees at the same time. Not at Mama Por Dios. At least not at our table. First came the lamb, but instead of being medium-well, it was well done. He didn't want to fuss so he just dealt with it. Slowly the other entrees came out one at a time except mine. After another 15 minutes, Jesus advises that they gave my dish to another table. Huh? Ok. I sit there & watch everyone else eat their food. 10 minutes later my lobster mac&cheese comes. As I dig in, I notice there is no lobster meat! It's just a shell & only partially filled with mac&cheese. Someone asks if I'm going to send it back. At first, I said no because I just couldn't believe this is what I was served & wanted to look at it some more. A person from our table excuses herself. Unbeknownst to me, she spoke to the GM, Alvaro. As I'm sitting there digging through this food looking for a morsel of lobster, I'm getting more & more upset. I get up & find Jesus & tell him I want to send my dish back. That's when I find out my friend went to speak to the GM. My friend comes back & says the GM wanted to know if I wanted to return the item. He asks her instead of coming to the table & addressing me. She told him she wasn't sure. By this time everyone else is done eating & I still haven't eaten. About 15 minutes later the manager, Chris, comes over & begins speaking to my friend. He doesn't address me at all. He doesn't acknowledge anyone else at the table as a matter of fact. I am sitting in the corner just watching this all unfold. I can't hear what they are saying, but I'm watching. At this point, I am so over the whole experience. I just want to leave. About another 10 minutes pass & Jesus comes back & generally announces that he prides himself in providing great service & is sorry for what happened. He then hands us the bill. My lobster mac&cheese was 100% comp'd. The lamb was 20% comp'd & the other meal was 30% comp'd. What a complete slap in the face for me. If they had bothered to speak with me, they would've known I was also paying for the lamb & should've comp'd that more. There was nothing wrong with the food that was comp'd 30%. There was no comp for the drinks or appetizer. Considering how long we had to wait to be served & the fact we were not served together on top of the lobster mac&cheese debacle, they should've given some sort of comp on everything, but they didn't. Between the 20% comp'd lamb, the appetizer, & the 2 drinks, I paid $116 AND STILL LEFT HUNGRY ... no, HANGRY! On top of that, I had to pay $15 for valet parking. I literally had to stop at a fast food drive thru on the way home because I was hungry. Some in my party said I should try them again because what happened was unusual. Mama Por Dios will never get another dime from me because what happened was deliberate. - The person who made the dish deliberately put half scoops of mac&cheese in an empty lobster shell - The person who checks quality before dishes go out deliberately let that mess go out - The GM, Alvaro, deliberately didn't come to the table to address the situation with me - The manager, Chris, that came to the table deliberately didn't address me - The waiter, Jesus, deliberately only apologized when it was time for him to get his tip - NONE OF THEM asked me if I wanted something else to eat. They were fine letting me leave without eating Mama Por Dios failed miserably with subpar service.

DON'T DO IT. I actually at one point just started laughing hysterically, because that's all I could do with how awful it was there. I'm so embarrassed that I suggested this place to my friends. Some of our top quotes from the night: "I HATE IT HERE." "This is the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in LA. No actually, anywhere." 1. We checked in at 8:37ish for our 8:45pm dinner reservation (the earliest we could get). The sidewalk was PACKED with people waiting. The hostess said it would be more like 9. At 9:05 we said how's it going, they said they were still working on it. I heard a girl say she'd been waiting an hour. We finally got seated at like 9:35 only after literally begging; it would have been way longer. 2. The whole place smelled musty, like dirty dish towels. 3. BLASTING club music. BLASTING. Fine, it's a Saturday night, but we were in the dining room, not even where the bar is. We had to scream conversations over "TO THE WINDOWWWWS, TO THE WALLS" and eventually just gave up trying to talk to the person across the table. This is not a club, there is no dance floor, it's only seated tables...I just don't get it. 4. We ordered chips and guac (table of 4) and got...one convenience store-wrapped bag of THREE palm-sized tostadas. Just three! Dead. The waiter gave more when we asked though. Then the server set down some foot-high silver box and left with no explanation. Literally what?? The guac and the corn thing on the box were good though, I'll give them that. 5. My marg was good but didn't have like any alcohol in it and was $20. 6. The veggie enchilada was fine. 7. They played that Bad Bunny "mucha novia" song three times in 30 minutes. I'm not exaggerating. 8. The valet had a 15-min wait. In the cold. What a frickin nightmare.

Pros: -Hostess was very friendly & welcoming -We we’re seated at our table quickly -1st server was nice, acknowledged our table quickly & answered our questions -2nd server Daysi was very friendly/welcoming also (BUT that did not last long) Food presentation & plating was nice Appetizers & drinks came out quickly Dance presentation with the drink flight was the highlight/most enjoyable part of our night.

NOW TO THE NIGHTMARE......... Cons: PARKING We had multiple staff (majority men) congregate around our table every 3-5 mins throughout of dining from 5:50pm to 7:15pm. Most of them did not say anything just stares & whispers amongst each other. No big deal at first but it started to become uncomfortable and more noticeable.

Staff would come & reach over us while eating removing items from the table without asking if they could take them or a simple excuse me

We waited almost 2 hours for our main dishes. 5 out of the 6 dishes arrived COLD (steaks, mashed potatoes, birria tacos & tacos de ribeye). Sent 3 of the 5 back - 1 came out pipping hot, the other 2 came out luke warm (they returned with them to our table in less than 6 mins). Tacos de birria was TERRIBLE, it was dry literal BLOCKS of overcooked tough meat and rubbery melted cold cheese.

Server Daysi became very nasty & condescending while her remarks and attitude. She had a terrible demeanor throughout the night - rolling her eyes and changing the language & covering her mouth when her coworkers were congregate around our table

I requested a manager to speak with the manager because our experience got worse & more employees started to congregate around. The manager made excuses for his staff but said he would speak with them. Unfortunately, they ended up sending these 6 ft male who was security at the door to stand behind our table along with 2-4 other staff. They didn’t say anything just watched us

Our drinks were refilled ONCE & that was upon finishing dinner around 7ish (we arrived at the restaurant at 5:45p) - I asked for a to-go cup from one of the million “servers” surrounding our table she asked what “what do you need it for?

Upon paying & tipping we did not know anything about the gratuity being included since we had a group of 6. After asking Daysi she & said “yea you paid me twice - with gratuity ($100) and a tip ($100)". We requested the tip back because of the terrible service we received. Had she been forthcoming and the service been better we would have let her keep the tip BUT We requested the tip back. She told us it was an inconvenience because they had to reverse the transaction.

We exited the establishment having to pass by the manager - we weren’t acknowledged at all. Staff followed us as we exited including the 6ft male who was watching our table. Before leaving we took photos on the side of the restaurant where they have their sign, the same 6ft guy comes around from the back or the restaurant watching us again before walking by and going around the front entrance.

This establishment let a terrible taste in my mouth. I am disgusted by the demeanor of their staff and quite frankly feel they are racist. We're good enough to pay for their mediocre food but not good enough to have an enjoyable dining experience not being...

I had brought my mom here for her birthday about a year ago. It was a nice experience and the ambience was nice. We enjoyed ourselves. We had advised others who never heard of the place and returned a couple times after inviting and bringing out new people to explore the restaurant but each time it hasn't been the greatest and service keeps declining and we gave it a pass maybe there busy etc. but the last time was a disappointment. We had ordered Beers they forgot, Fanta forgot as well, Avocado forgot, Ceviche order wasn't rung in, Service was just slow. We asked for salt and pepper they brought us to go packets as if I was at a McDonalds not a restaurant. We ordered Ice cream and churro cart. They stated they no longer do them together. We said we didn't want that much but since the kids wanted both we ordered both because we really wanted strawberry ice cream. When we got the cart's there was no strawberry ice cream only chocolate and vanilla in which no one really wanted and they forgot to mention but we we're like it is what it is. We waited for the check a while finally received paid at table everything was good we tipped asked for printed receipt never received. Then we proceeded to go to valet pick up our cars and say bye to my sister and family. As we're saying bye waiting for our cars the server comes down stairs saying that we have a balance due that we needed to pay which didn't make sense it wasn't adding up the figures he was providing not to mention that was so embarrassing. My card would never just pay partial. So I said excuse me do you have a manager he said yes he's the one who told me to come collect the rest of bill. We went up stairs to light we're we can see. I said I need a copy of the receipt but as he went to print out I looked at the hand held payment system he used and he had added someone else's items on our check I'm assuming he forgot to close our check which is why it was showing balance due. So then when speaking to the manager he didn't take any accountability, never apologized that they made a mistake and falsely accused and embarrassed us. He actually kept blaming the server. I said shouldn't you check tickets before accusing someone. He was super rude. When we we're the ones humiliated, embarrassed and fasely accused. I asked for GM and he said they...
