BBQ+RICE Korean BBQ Bowl — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Since I was in the area, I decided to look for a new spot to try for lunch. I was craving some asian food and decided to give BBQ + Rice a go. It's located in a small plaza with a few parking spots available for those lucky enough to snag one. Street parking is also available for those willing to walk, just pay attention to the signs!

The interior is small and offers up a few chairs for those who would like to dine in. The menu is fairly simple and the rice bowls are all filled with a variety of veggies to compliment your choice of protein. Being a beef lover, I went straight for the galbi bowl.

The meat was tender and soft, and was not entirely what I was expecting. It was not the traditional texture you'd find on the rib, but more of a stewed beef. I enjoyed the sweet and salty flavors from the bowl and found the pickled veggies to add another layer of flavor that all went very well together! The bulgogi beef tasted like the bulgogi beef you know and love, but better! The rice was extra fluffy, and the special house made sauce they put into all the bowls tastes so good! I even went ahead and added a few extra drops into mine just so I can savor the flavor even more!

I throughly enjoyed my meal here, and would definitely come back again to eat more of their delicious...

BBQ+RICE WeHo has become my go-to spot for amazing, affordable food—especially when I’m craving a solid Bulgogi Beef Bowl! This place consistently delivers delicious, satisfying meals, but my most recent experience was a little hit or miss.

First, the Bulgogi Beef Bowl—wow! It’s always bomb. Tender, flavorful, and honestly, it never disappoints. It’s hands-down my favorite. And let’s not forget the Black Pepper Chicken Bowl and their house-made cucumber pickles, which are still super tasty. Those pickles? Perfect little bursts of tangy freshness.

But now, let’s talk about the Korean Fried Chicken... What happened?! It was like chewing on rubber. The pieces were small, tough, and completely flavorless. I couldn’t believe it—it’s like they forgot the seasoning and the juiciness altogether. If I had been eating there, I probably would’ve asked for my money back.

So, here’s my final verdict: BBQ+RICE WeHo is still a great spot. The Bulgogi Beef Bowl is a 10/10, the Black Pepper Chicken Bowl is solid, and the pickles are always on point. But the Korean Fried Chicken? Big miss this time—a 5/10 at best. Stick with the beef bowl, and...

BBQ + Rice is a fantastic place to grab a meal. They have excellent food, excellent prices, and use non plastic containers. The people are friendly. They have a few locations that are both convenient for me.

I had the spicy pork bowl and it was amazing. I want to stress again how good the value is for a small business in an expensive city like LA. They give you a very filling meal for ten dollars or less. You really don't find that much anymore.

I also had their fried chicken and it was tasty, crispy and a good side to go with the bowl.

This location has a small parking lot but I had no issues getting a parking space and there are plenty of street parking...
