Had a problem with us and refused to explain what it was after a game glitched out. Did not tell our entire party (playing on multiple kiosks with 15 person party) that we had been banned from playing anymore because of the management’s mistake, from this: 1. They had no problem continuing to let us play as we lost to take our money, and let us play more that we won but never brought the bottle. So they collected the extra bottle fee without giving us anything. 2. The other group was the one that bet an expensive bottle and got upset when they didn’t get it. Yet, management got upset at us. The waiter was lurking and eavesdropping to our conversations. When I asked my friend: what happened with the other table? If they caused the problem, did they get kicked out too: the eavesdropping waiter stepped in and threatened to kick us out again. We have been asking to leave ay this point but they still haven’t given us the cards back. When I asked to speak with a manager to better understand, the waiter would not get the manager. The manager finally came to accuse two people in our group of breaking the bathroom window. He claims to have “proof”. After telling him recording in the bathroom is very wrong, he claims to have some other footage—that showed us nothing. When asked if he talked to any other table, he said no. We offered for him to check everyone’s knuckles, elbows, etc but all he did was make accusations. We wanted to help him; certainly if someone in our party broke the window, we wouldn’t just run out. But the manager would not cooperate beyond continuing to accuse us. When asked what we can do to just leave, he said to pay; we told him we have been trying and they still have our cards. Despite having no further evidence, they banned these two people in our group. It’s not like we want to go back, but very weird behavior. The tteokbokki is ok I guess. Nothing amazing but decently large portions and it’ll do if...
Read moreI would write a more positive review because I do think that the atmosphere and food is good to bring with people BUT the customer service falls below expectations.
All the previous reviews on this restaurant/Youngdabang LA regarding the poor customer service and Owner/Server are TRUE.
I came to only order takeout but the person at front (who I assume is the owner) made me wait 20 minutes before taking my order. Around the same time, another customer entered to also for a takeout order but he INSTANTLY came to help her. We were both sat at different tables that were by the kitchen and during the time it took for the food to prepare, the owner came by to ask her if she needed anything and gave her water but gave me NOTHING and didnt even ask if I needed anything while waiting.
I usually tip for wherever I go when I make to-go orders but there was no customer service or hospitality that showed that this server deserved it so I didn't leave any but then as I checked my credit card statement, I saw that there was a 17% amount added to the overall bill. At this point, I knew that I would be directed to contact the merchant if I raised this issue to my credit card provider and he would have just refused to adjust the bill so I will just take it as the first time and LAST time for this place.
The food was okay but with this service, there are MANY other restaurants in Koreatown that offer BETTER service with the same options as this place at a better value.

Read moreIf you plan to dine at Chi Chi LA, remember this: Reservation is a must! This place gets incredibly busy on weekends, and it's no wonder why. Chi Chi LA is a restaurant like no other, offering an extraordinary blend of dining and entertainment.
The atmosphere on a weekend night is positively vibrant and bustling. The reason? Well, it's all thanks to the special feature at every table – the personal ordering devices. These nifty gadgets aren't just for placing your food orders; they're a gateway to a world of fun and games.
Each table has its own ordering device, which not only allows you to select your dishes but also provides a variety of interactive games. You can enjoy mini-games by yourself or challenge other tables. There are even spontaneous group challenges initiated by the restaurant. Plus, there's a chat room where you can strike up conversations with diners at other tables.
Now, onto the food. Chi Chi LA offers a tasty menu, though portions are on the smaller side. The flavors are delightful, and I highly recommend trying their flavored Soju cocktails. They come with eye-catching glowing lights and adorable duck decorations that add a cute touch to your dining experience.
The only drawback is that engaging in conversation can be a bit challenging due to the continuous sounds of excitement from people playing games all around you. But if you're here for a fun and interactive dining adventure, this might not bother...
