2023 LA Kid-Friendly Spots: The Red and Black List!
Kelly NavasKelly Navas
I've came here for years since I was a kid. The place is good and the children will enjoy their time! The smell coming in here is weird, smells like smelly feet and sweat lol. The food is good, but they have to be careful with this. My pizza came out like this and we weren't satisfied with the look of it (it tasted delicious, stuffed crust sausage pizza) prices are expensive for food. We spoke to a worker and they were great and made a solution. I love the change with the time card instead of tokens. I feel like the children have more time to play than before. My son loves coming here with his grandparents and he has a blast. Just wish the quality of this place was better. There is a worker that seems like the manager. I have to get his name, but he is a very enthusiastic worker and Everytime we go he is always in great spirits. His co-worker need to follow the same, especially working with children. I work with children and know how stressful it can be, but if you can't work with children find a new job. The Chuck E Cheese in Burbank has always been my preference, since it is more spacious and cleaner. But this one still makes my son happy. And that is all that matters.

Took my 2 year old son here thinking it was a real Chuck e. Cheese, turns out this is a mini chuck e cheese. The prices should be cut in half because EVERYTHING is half the size of a regular location. There were 9 items in the salad bar, 18 undercooked fries in the fry basket. 2 rows of games. No ball pit or tubes, (or really anything!) I was very dissatisfied with the lack of amenities. But it was very clean, and if your at the mall with your kids and just need to kill time and money, this will do. But if your looking for the full experience. Go to another location.

My main problem was that there’s not a person that stands at all times to check guest in with the stamp. My son who is autistic was able to sneak past them and walked out to the parking lot . I am 8 months pregnant so I couldn’t keep up with him when he was ready to leave, plus with 6 other kids trying to get them ready to leave. I asked if they seen a boy run out they clearly said to me “no, kids can’t leave, we’re always watching” false!. I know it’s the parents job to watch their own kids but at a place where they’re suppose to be watching the front door the guy was no where to be found. Someone could easily just take kids out of there. I’m actually grateful for TARGET SECURITY who saw him walking outside . Chuck E. Cheese,They don’t check your stamps when walking out, the girl just help the swinging door open without looking at us on her phone. . I notified the YOUNG manager that didn’t know anything and only apologized and said it’s the parent’s job to watch their kids. They only had 3 employees working. I told him they needed more employees especially the one watching people walk in and out. I had asked where the guy went he said he sent him on break as the manager was behind the counter helping other guest, and the girl employee was showing the other employee Starbucks saying it’s in the back. Y’all can do that later on your breaks. Still no one to check people in or to check the stamps leaving. This is the second time I have gone to this location. It always smells musty and feels like a sauna. Both times I went my kids came home sick. The bathrooms were disgusting, tampons on the floor, no seat covers or toilet papers in some stalls. It was only 3pm they don’t check hourly? This place is just...

Today, when I visited with my family, everything seemed well until I submitted my food order at 5:15pm I noticed the food was taking longer than expected. An hour passed and my device started to vibrate to pick up my order. When I arrived to the pick up area to get my food I asked one of the employees about still missing a LG pizza. She then said oh its still not ready so she gave me the device with a number. I then waited another 30 min and no pizza yet then I decided to go back and ask and the employee said the pizza is still not ready the cook burnt it and we have to remake it again. So then I asked where do I pick up the 2 unicorn cupcakes she then said we only have one and she offered one Dippin dots and I said no let me get cotton candy so she did. After that I asked for a manager and asked is there anything she can do for me to accommodate the issue with the large pizza she said we are already making it. I then asked her can I get a refund and then she did she refunded me one of my other items I had already purchased so I was happy and I still got the pizza. I really feel bad for the employees because it is not their fault they are only trying their best to do their job and corporate is probably not giving them the proper training or supplies they need.

In the other hand there where two male employees working the floor cleaning the tables and maintaining the cleanliness but they both had no customer service experience when I asked one of them a question he answered all rude and really didn't even answer my question at all.

Corporate please help them fix the issue with the food and give them proper training on how to work...

We like Chuck E. Cheese's a lot. It's a great place for kids (and adults too) who like to play games. Though, it is mostly geared towards children since at least half of their games/rides can only fit little ones... ; ) We are in Cali visiting for several weeks and this happens to be within blocks of where we are staying, so super convenient. Playtime at Chuck E. Cheese's is always a fun time, so very good nighttime or anytime thing for us to do while we are here as a filler play event or dinnertime activity. The pizza has definitely gotten better over the years at this franchise and I now actually like it. We dig their salad bar, especially the Jell-O for my girl, and the souvenir cups are cute with free refills for whenever you bring it to any Chuck E. Cheese's. My girl can spend hours in this place and just has a ball! It's where a kid can be a kid, after all... isn't that their slogan?! : P This location looks newer, but maybe everything is just in good condition? Staff is friendly and tries to make things happen. It was busy this evening when we went and I believe they were understaffed, but they still did a good job. We were there for about (2) hours and Chuck E. didn't come out to do his dancing and ticket giving thing once, so I'm thinking they were super understaffed today. And, I could only see one public trash can in the entire place, which I thought seemed odd. Fun place, you basically know what to expect when you go, and if you get a good crew the staff can make it more...
