Fairfax High School — Local services in Los Angeles

The curriculum is well and most students and alumni I spoke to enjoyed their time. However, from both students and personal experience, there are numerous staff who are calous and adamant. The customer service skills I've seen is terrible; most recently, the staff in the attendance office who is responsible for calling students out of class, refused to call my sister despite the urgency of the matter. Repeatedly, he aggressively asked me to leave only because for which I can guess, was simply too lazy to do his job. I fear the staff which this school employs represent terrible models for students. If you'd like an "Ok" education, staffs who hates their jobs, BUT has a recognized name! This is the school...

I loved this school. I came here in my 10th grade year from Crenshaw High School. I got tired of dealing with looking behind my back while walking home and I got tired of getting banged on coming home from school. So I went to Fairfax. Boy was it a culture shock. Going to schools all your life with predominantly hispanic and blacks it hit me by surprise to be here. Wow so diverse, I was happy I made that move. I played football as well. This is the best high school in California, if you ask me. I went there in '89 and now my children study there. The discipline is better than any parent can imagine, the teachers are nice, smart and polite, just like their students. Ah, I miss...
