Been a long time supporter of braindead and finally was fortunate enough to visit the store and simply put it did not disappoint. Jacob is very intellectual and is prideful in the brand he sells. Thoughtful answers, honest suggestions, truly an incredible person. The brand is for the people, by the people and it’s imperative to support this business. Love from NYC -Corey

Love little independent theaters like this. Ticket and concession prices were reasonable, interesting films shown, and the patrons clapped at the end (of “Lost in Translation”). Will have to go again to see if that happens after every film or just the good ones. Either way, it’s a sign that people here appreciate good filmmaking.

Loved the experience, Psycho was playing when I was there and it was great to be able to watch a classic on the silver screen. The people there were also great and cool to talk to. Would definitely recommend this theater, also don’t forget to check out the cafe and ‘green room’ (the store) upstairs!

this is legit the worst theater i’ve been to. makes me sad that i hated the theater because their merch is great, the lobby is awesome and the whole aesthetic is great. the actual theater just sucks. i wasn’t expecting a big screen but i certainly wasn’t expecting this small of a screen. there is no incline on seats so u are forced to look at the back of the person’s head. the speakers are muffled and just bad quality. the seats are so crammed and i don’t mind sitting next to a random person but there is literally no room to move ur arms with how tight u are packed. the crowd is horrible. everyone there seems to look at u in a demeaning way in a “i know more than u” way. everyone seems to pretentious. it also seems as if they never been to a theater because there was non stop chatter and commentary. the staff was intimidating, judging and eyeing each person that walks in. this next one might seem weird to most i feel like i didn’t belong due to the majority white staff/crowd. there was probably like 4-5 other poc. there was one nice guy working in the cafe he was really nice...

This place is so cool! Really happy to be able to go to the movies again and have access to this great spot! I haven’t had a chance to check out the cafe or the green room yet but I’m looking forward to that. The have IT’S ITS - regular and mint!!! So wonderful!! ALL THAT BEING SAID - something about the popcorn is a little off - not sure what- I had my roommates try it too and they agree. Popcorn is really important to me and I hope there is improvement in this area - it’s not bad…it’s just not good. I can consult for a small fee. Let me help you Braindead. I hope I can remove this part of the review in the future when the popcorn is delicious and on point. Awesome place though & I can’t wait to return...

One of the lesser theater going experiences I’ve had in LA. Great lineup of classic and eclectic films each month, but if you ever see a movie in the daytime it’s impossible to not be distracted by the sunlight pouring in whenever someone enters or exits the auditorium since they don’t close the doors to the street. The staff were also talking loudly right outside the door the entire time, and the concessions staff weren’t properly wearing their masks while...
