So I’ve been coming to this location since it opened in 2018 and I’ve had the best experience every single time, up until tonight. I can understand how hectic a sports bar can be especially when there’s a game, but considering how I’ve had a good experience every other time (when there’s been a game) comes into play when the quality of service tonight was horrendous. My host didn’t tell me his name and would check in on other tables beside me while actively ignoring/avoiding mine. I had my credit card be held after ordering, which has never happened previously so it made me extremely uncomfortable. I had MULTIPLE waiters come to my table bringing food and drinks thinking it was for me when it would be for a completely different table (I would excuse this had it been just one time, but it happened five different times tonight). They would stand there aloof and then ask for directions from the man who was our host, and go to the actual table afterwards. I’m still incredibly confused as to why orders from the OTHER SIDE of the restaurant were coming to ME when I had only ordered one item. When I asked for the bill, I paid with cash and it took the host ten minutes to bring my change, only for it to be wrong. I waited for five minutes for him to bring the rest, and I eventually became fed up and took it to the front desk. I don’t blame the person at the front desk for this whatsoever, but it still took him another 5 minutes to bring me my change (to me personally at the front), then another whole 5 minutes to bring me my receipt. The last time I came here was two months ago, so I don’t understand how the quality of service became so utterly repulsive in such a short amount of time. I feel humiliated that I had my card held and embarrassed by how much I had to BEG just to get my change and receipt. The best part of my night was leaving. I hope no one else has to go through anything like this. I’d say the food and ambiance was good, except the service and lack of humility just left everything else...
Read moreWe have been coming to this Dave and Busters for a few years. We always thought the food sucked so we stopped coming. But since the farmers market opened in their parking lot on Wednesdays we found out that Wednesdays are half off for arcade. So me and my son have a tradition of coming to farmers market, buying some fruits and putting in them in the car and then getting some food and a Mexican fruit juice that we share. After we go an play $100 bucks of D&B Arcade. We always come up the stairs with half a drink of the fruit juice left in our hands. We say hi to all the ladies in the front and to all employees. We are talkative and have fun. We always have a drink with us and were never turned away. Today was different. There were no ladies up the stairs by their usual manager greeting table but instead there was a rude security guard who told me and my nine year old son that we can't bring our drink in. Our juice was almost full and was 9 dollars and we didn't want to throw it away or buy D&B unhealthy sodas. I asked to speak to a manager and here comes Ashley with a C. I dont know how to spell Ashley with a C, it sounds as dumb as the policy of not allowing to bring your own drink to an arcade. She trIed not to be rude but couldnt help herself. Though she wasnt as bad as that awful security guard. We don't care about the food or the bar or your sodas D&B. We care about the arcade. Which so often has broken games and is poorly maintained. Still, its the biggest arcade close to us. But since we were so rudely turned away for bringing a cup of juice with us to play arcade, after being allowed to come with a drink for almost 3 months every Wednesday, we left with out playing. And we will not be coming back unless you guys change your policy. You guys need to pick, are you a bar for drunks or are you an arcade for kids. Have hours were kid drinks allowed or separate entrance for Arcade. In any case we will be going to play at Off The Wall now. Hope it was...
Read moreMe, my girlfriend, and a couple of our friends decided to have a date night at this Dave and Busters location and our service and the way we were treated was borderline abusive. We showed up at around 9pm Tuesday, got our tickets and went to the bar to get drinks. Mind you, each one of us are over 22 years old. After handing the bartender my Washington State ID, he held onto it for almost 5 minutes before getting a manager to come assist. The manager came up to my group and told us that my ID is not running and that if they go to scan my ID and it’s a fake they are going to call LAPD and take my ID. This surprised all of us because we have all been to this location multiple times and have had no problems getting drinks accept for this one time. This was when things got weird. We all of a sudden had 2 security guards right behind us making us feel extremely uncomfortable in an already stressful and questioning situation. The manager then comes back and tells us that my ID is a fake and that he will not serve me alcohol then proceeds to give me my ID back. Where is the LAPD? I thought he was going to take my ID if it was fake? My girlfriend then speaks up and says that I was at the dispensary earlier and they ran my ID there too which came back as a real ID. The manager then makes the outlandish comment that “the dispensary lets (him) in all the time with an expired ID” this is an extremely unprofessional of him to say and I don’t know why he felt the need to make this comment. He then asked us if we were going to play games which we said “not anymore” then he proceeded to have the security escort us out of the building when we did absolutely nothing wrong and showed no aggression towards any employees or customers at Dave and busters. We and our friends will not be coming back to this Dave and busters and we hope others will reconsider visiting this location...
