I really don't like giving negative reviews, so let me start by saying that I live in Las Vegas and maybe I just expected too much at this particular location. For some reason, I have it in my head that franchises in Ca. are probably better than in Vegas because since Vegas is a tourist town, repeat customers really aren't as important as they would be in Cali.
Anyway, I ordered the 8oz sirloin with 2 sides of red skinned mashed potatoes. When my order arrived, I immediately noticed that the steak was a single shade of grey, with no signs of any fire from an oven or hot metal touching it. My first thought was that this steak was microwaved! I cut off a piece and tasted it, and sure enough it had that straight from the microwave texture and taste. It was really bad... Now I'm not saying for sure the steak was microwaved, I'm just saying that I HAVE microwaved a steak once, and it tasted exactly like the one I just got from Denny's. Fun fact, I tried to give that steak I microwaved to my dog, and he wouldn't touch it lol.
I also noticed that the potatoes were unusually shiny, like they had some water poured over them before they were brought to me. I tasted them and noticed that they tasted like watered down mashed potatoes lol.
I asked for the meal to be taken back and substituted for a burger. The server was very friendly and did so. She was great, btw. No problems with server here-just with the food.
When my burger arrived, it looked good to me. Like I usually do with a Denny's burger, I cut it in half. Now I always expect SOME grease from a Denny's burger, ok? That is normal. But this burger was like a sink faucet that was just slightly opened. It was pretty bad. I tasted the burger, and it's not that it was a nasty tasting burger but that it didn't taste like anything at all! I knew I was chewing on something, but the meat was completely flavorless! All I could really taste was the bbq sauce I asked for, and all of that damn grease! And again on the grease, it seemed to me more like I was drinking a cup of grease than eating a burger. I did eat most of the burger to be honest. Not because I enjoyed it but because I was pretty damn hungry after having to send back the first meal and then wait for the burger.
To put this in perspective for whoever may read this, let me tell you that I really like Denny's. It is my go to when I'm not sure what I really want to eat. I don't like leaving a bad review for them. Unfortunately, this time I feel like I have to. I'm writing this review in their parking lot right now, and I'm feeling nauseous from the food. I am not exaggerating here. Hopefully I wont vomit when I get home.

Read moreI'm so sorry... Denny's is.... Dennys... But this one... SUCKED!!! I got the food to go and maybe, JUST MAYBE, THAT was the mistake... I ordered a super bird... Pretty hard to mess up bacon turkey cheese (I ordered it without the tomato) on sourdough bread, but SOMEHOW THEY MANAGED... bread was SO HARD... OMG... turkey was fried TO DEATH (but that's ridiculous because the turkey is dead... So I'll restate that to say, fried to hardness which it should NOT be)... I ordered at 5am... And the bacon was hard like IT was fried at 10pm and just used... The cheese was on the sandwich, and that's all I have to say about that... I was NOT drunk, eating at Denny's at 5am... Maybe if I had been it would not have warranted this review... Usually if I DON'T like something, I don't review it, but I COULD NOT LET THIS ONE GO... Denny's, if you read this, the Super Bird is a GREAT Sandwich... When done right, it's crunchy, buttery, moist and DELICIOUS!!! PERFECT for when you're hungry... The Super Bird i received WAS AWFUL, HORRIBLE, AND OVERPRICED $15.00 for a sandwich and hash browns??? INSANE even for these inflated times... ALSO, Denny's IF YOU'RE READING THIS MAKE SURE YOUR EMPLOYEES WASH THEIR HANDS OFTEN... I had to use the bathroom WAY TOO SOON AND FOR MULTIPLE TRIPS AFTER THIS SANDWICH... NOT GOOD!!! (For the record, my husband has the Lumberjack breakfast which is HIS Go To and the Ham was fried to hardness, the bacon ROCK HARD (WHICH IS NOT THE SAME AS CRISPY) and after one bite, the dog got the sausage... The pancakes were so bad they went into the trash AND I HATE THROWING AWAY FOOD!!! I know jobs are hard to get, and i don't want any one fired, but maybe some TRAINING IS IN ORDER... WATCH THE KITCHEN FOR HAND WASHING LIKE YOU WATCH THE REGISTER... is a SOLID suggestion... And YES, my husband has a bathroom issue that lasted 2 days... SHAME ON YOU DENNY'S...
Read moreI called Northridge Denny's and ordered 2 grilled chicken dinners for pick up which I had ordered and ate at that place 2 days prior. I went, paid for it and brought the food home. Upon arrival i discovered one of the meals was missing the chicken. I called and spoke to same cashier and explain; she said ok just come and I'll give you the missing chicken. I think it was about 3pm but me and my son had not eaten whole day. So I left the food at home so my child could eat and left. When I got there, the same cashier told me that who ever took the order charged it on a per item basis as opposed to the grilled chicken dinner entrée and that's why it came out more expensive than what it really was. And that when customers call Northridge and they don't pick up after 5 rings, it goes to another department who take the order for them & that's who took order. Because they took order , they could not do anything. I asked for manager and spoke to manager called Carlos who was extremely rude and told me that he will not rectify the order because he's not giving me free food. I told him how are you giving me free food if I paid $8 more than what i paid 2 days ago and all he needed to do was give me the missing chicken as I only received mashed potatoes and corn. He told me flat out no. I called home office and spoke to supervisor who was super nice and told me because i had paid already she can not fix it but that she will send me a coupon for a meal. And she kept telling me if i do that, everything is fine right? letting me know not to pursue it further. I said ok. 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting for that coupon she told me would send me. Over all bad experience with RUDE manager (Carlos) and lying home office. Food is decent but customer service is bad from this manager and just mediocre from rest as I've been there several times...
