Today I had breakfast. The Chorizo breakfast. The chorizo tastes like Mexican chorizo. It’s pretty good! The platanos Fritos are amazingly caramelized. So good! You also get cheese, sour cream, an avocado and beans. The cream is very good. Not typical sour cream. The beans are amazing too. This time around the service was very good - until they forgot about me for nearly 15 minutes. Previous Review: Now I have tried the food of three Central American countries. I can honestly place Honduran cuisine in third place. Nicaragua #1: Gallo Pinto - a must try. Very unique. El Salvador #2: Pupusas - tasty but too much like gorditas to truly stand out. Good curtido is what makes a good pupusa. Honduras #3: Baleadas - not terribly interesting. Things that stood out: the tajadas. Tajadas are plantain strips quite unlike the other versions of cooked plantains I have tried. They weren't spectacular or anything just unique. I had two Baleadas de Carne Asada. Decent. Baleadas aren't much more than thick flour tortillas with beans and in this case meat. They also come with avocado and eggs. I'm not a fan of eggs. Not even for breakfast. So for me eggs are a weird inclusion. The Baleadas are big and filling. I didn't really like the way they did the carne asada. The Pollo con Tajadas was ok. It doesn't look terribly appetizing. It's very filling. I had guanabana juice and tried the nance juice. Both were good. Honestly the prices of the food are good here. The music was good. No reggaeton lol. They also played some pop en Español. The restaurant looks really cool. It's pretty big and has an outside eating area. I like the decor - maps of Honduras. You get a view of the better parts of McArthur Park. You can also see the DTLA skyline. Service was ok. Nice servers but they are pretty slow and inattentive. Meter and parking lot parking.

The food is very delicious. The order does take a little while to come to your table but the wait is so worth it! The food was fresh and hot! My family and I ordered the Baleada— La Mama de La Mama Which is the biggest one on the menu. And Pollo(pechuga) Frito con Tajadas. The chicken was crunchy on the outside but juicy in the inside and very flavorful! The drinks were tasty too I liked that they weren’t too sweet, we were able to enjoy the flavor of the fruit. I ordered the drink, Maracuya (Very delicious, perfect combination between sweet and sour). Some waiters and waitresses were kind but they work fast and are attending many tables at once, so don’t feel bad if they seem a little distant or can’t chat for too long. Overall it was a nice and tasty experience. I would come here again.

Mynor & Sara (owners) provided us with a warm welcome to their restaurant which offers delicious Honduran cuisine. We are always impressed when owners take time to genuinely connect with their clients. We admire their journey and willingness to improve the restaurant, community, & themselves. What resonated with me was one of the moments where Mynor worked side-by-side with his mom and wife when they had the Honduran food truck prior to the restaurant. They also have a foundation that distributes toys to children throughout Latin America; Mynor's childhood dream. Both of them are business owners who deeply care about communities locally and abroad. A restaurant is not just about the food but also the positive culture it creates while dining in and what we take away from our experiences. Of course we had to give five stars to a family who embodies the five stars as represented on Honduran flag. We strongly recommend Doña Bibi's Restaurant and the best is yet to come! [Esp.]

Dona Bibi's was my first time having Honduran food. It's out in LA next to MacArthur Park in Westlake. This places is run by an amazing family. They are Honduran and bring that authentic, traditional recipe to the foods. I had the baleadas (which are their Honduran style tortillas), which was pretty good. I also ate their sopa mixta, the conch meat soup with coconut milk, which was also very tasty, especially if you love seafood. The Honduran style fried chicken was also great here, loved the sauce that was over it. And I got to try many of their appetizers on their sampler plate which had everything from the pastelitos (fried empanadas) to tacos dorados (kind of like a taquito).

Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. The food was fresh, it had great taste, and the service was wonderful. This restaurant will give you a great first impression of Honduran food if you've never had it before. I shot a YouTube video of Dona Bibi's which you can find on my channel,...

The Pollo Chuco is 🔥! Crispy fries chicken over plantain chips, a salad with a dressing and a tomato based salsa to add that flavor.

Not spicy at all. Full of flavor. The chicken is well seasoned. The plantain chips are also crispy and not stale. Sougy because of the salad and dressing but that's the point, pick up some chips grab some salad and pluck a chunk of chicken with your fingers 🤌 and straight to the mouth 👄. Hence, the name Chuco, dirty.

Best finger food. Best way to eat great food.

They are also well known for their baleadas. "La mama de la mama" for baleadas.

This restaurant is right in front of the MacArthur Park like if you don't know where this is at by know. I did this for a reason, purpose. . .support local businesses that support our people. This restaurant is also opposite of the Mexican Consulate.

Stay supportive of each other 🙏 one plate at a time.

Keep...
