Diamond Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Went for weekday lunch and i have to say, despite being one of the cheapest buffets in LA, still not worth the money. The "fresh sushi" was just a bunch of the same foods with one thing switched out (eg. Imitation crab meat with avocado and imitation crab meat with kelp). Only 2 or 3 raw fish dishes and all were rancid. Smelled as bad as they tasted. Crawfish was served cold. Nasty taste with nasty texture. When the dinner items started coming out, the "dinner only" signs were not placed in a clear manner. When asked which items were dinner only, the employee just stared blankly and responded "Yes, dinner. Dinner, yes" the entire time. Drink was empty for the last half of my meal and no employee came to ask whether i wanted a refill. Stay away from the sushi section. Definitely not fresh.

If you're somebody who actually likes to enjoy their meal at a decent or good quality buffet place, don't believe for a second that this place has the top notch service or quality foods that are supposedly at this establishment. Avoid this place at all costs.

DEFINITELY NOT THE BEST BUFFET IN...

4 star is very, VERYYY generous! The quality of the food used to be better, but last time I was there on Sunday it was just nothing short of mediocre. The ribs and salmon were over cooked, the crab legs were too soft And some of them could not be even cracked. The kimchi is just cabbage waiting to be fermented someday. The other thing is that it's too crowded which and some "very smart" people get up and go to the food stands without a mask and MANY people touch the tong or dishes without any gloves that are provided. Once I saw that the waiter warned a lady without mask to put on a mask but very often you see people roaming around without one. It's not the restaurant's fault but the rules could be enforced more seriously and everyone who enters should be warned of the rules and consequences in the event they don't comply. It takes only one sick person to infect...

We went in and the place was kind of empty. We got to our table and proceeded to get food and saw that they had styrofoam plates. The food was really really really dry and lack of selection. No chocolate fountain. No soft serve ice cream. Our server only came once to get our plates and get our refills. What was horrific was the lack of AC that circulated. Everyone was sweating and my family had only one plate of food. I didn't realize that they were waiting for the food to run out so they can bring a fresh batch out. Horrible horrible horrible experience and will NOT come back. We never had any issues before the pandemic but we had just went to another buffet, a do over, and they did had the whole nine. Plates, fresh food, chocolate fountain, plenty of refills, and AC! If you do go, please take caution as they put a whole lot of MSG...
