Domino's has gone a long way when it comes to repairing their reputation of making not so good pizza. It used to be that if you were going to order a pizza from one of the large chains (Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's etc...) and the neighborhood you were in had two or more of these different chains, Domino's would always be at the bottom of the list. The overall quality and taste of their pizza fell short of the other guys. Times have very much changed though. These days you have complete control and a lot of choices of quality ingredients and different doughs and sauces. You don't just simply have a choice of whether you want your crust to be thin, normal or deep dish. You also now have a choice of what dough you want your crust made of. They have their standard dough but you can also select from a variety of doughs that are made from different types of flour and/or are seasoned with a variety of different herbs. The same thing applies to sauce choices. It used to be that the sauce that was on your pizza was the only sauce it would be made with. In the case of some of their specialty pizzas, that still applies (ie; BBQ chicken pizza). Those pizza's that are not made with one specific sauce now offer you a choice such as Marinara or a vine ripened tomato sauce. You then get to populate your pizza with toppings (as long as the pizza is not a specialty pizza with fixed ingredients). Gone are the days of a limited list of toppings to choose from. Of course there are the pizza standard toppings to choose from such as pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and green peppers but there is also a very long list of other toppings to choose from. To be honest, I can't remember all of them and many of them surprised me the first time I saw the whole list. All of these choices and options allows for a pizza that is just right for you. It would also be a bit overwhelming to go through all of them if not for the best online experience in the business. Their website and Android/IOS apps are straight forward and simple to use. Best of all, where you use their online website or either of their apps, the pizza tracker is there every step of the way to keep you informed on the status of your order. Not only will the pizza tracker tell you in what stage of preparation you offer is in, it will also give you the name(s) of the individual(s) involved with the preparation of your order in real-time. The pizza tracker also lets you know when your order leaves their location for delivery and the name of the driver. Domino's has rightly won industry adulation and awards for their website/apps and the pizza tracker. It makes placing an offer for delivery easy and fast. In the 8 years I have been placing orders for delivery from this Hollywood store there has only been one occasion where I was unhappy with the amount of time it took to receive my order and the condition of my order. In that case, it took almost an hour after the pizza tracker informed me that my order was out with one of their drivers for delivery until my delivery arrived. I live about a mile from their stores location and it should not have taken that long for the driver to get to me even if he did have quite a few orders to deliver. Subsequently, that particular order was also a little cold once it was delivered. Other than that one time though, my experience with this Domino's location has been very good. Their drivers have always been very courteous and quick. The much improved pizza is now better than the other guys and has always been properly made by this location. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Domino's offers more than just pizza. They have some really good oven baked sandwiches and assorted chicken sides such as chicken wings. Pizza Hut has better chicken wings simply because of all of the different varieties they offer. Domino's has far less variety when it comes to their chicken wings but their wings still taste good and their pizza makes them the smart choice when your pizza cravings...
Read moreWhen i first ordered pizza, everything went fine, but the second time, the delivery guy was atrociously rude and he didn't even know how to speak English properly and that was definitely a bummer because, if i live in America, i need to communicate with people to deal with some situations in life (I'm not even American, but i speak English fluently since i've been learning since i was a little kid, but in my honest opinion i think you guys should hire delivery guys who speak a proper english). Whenever he approached me he didn't even greet me and straight up asked me for my credit card, and there's a problem regarding that because i buy my food with my mom's credit card but she does not live in the U.S, she currently resides in Brazil, so there's no possible way i could hand the credit card to the delivery guy, and i really think you guys should change this policy because why do you think a person is going to order pizza with a fake credit card? If they're using a fake credit card they're not going to buy a pizza, they'll most likely buy an iPhone, but that's not the point here. When the delivery guy asked for my ID instead, i handed my Brazilian ID to him (In Brazil, the government issues you a mini legit birth certificate), but he said it wouldn't be valid since it wasn't a California issued ID (But as far as i'm concerned they're obligated to accept any ID that is LEGIT), and when he took my ID he literally took note of every single piece of information on my ID and i really found that disrespectful because he could easily use all that information for his usage and screw me up, so i really think you guys should re-think before hiring someone. He's old, white hair and he speaks poor English. Btw your pizza is great, but with all these issues, i really doubt i'm ever going to buy pizza with...
Read morewill NEVER eat domino's pizza again because of this place, so i have lived at my address for almost five years ordered from here dozen of times with no incident.... i think cause after this happened i just can't really be sure, anyway very seriously they gave me a pizza with a fly baked into the cheese and crust, when i called back and told then the lady i spoke to said she didn't believe me i said come look for your self, and asked for her name her reply was "hold on" i was shocked and thinking to myself "are you serious?" she said her name was veronica and she wasn't gonna give me a refund, my reply was okay well have fun with the health department and asked for corporate number she gave me her franchise owner's number not the domino's corp. number, anyway after calling back and asking the worker who answered the phone"to speak to Veronica" i was told that "she was not working, and that the manager on duty was Crystal", i was dumb founded but when the lady got back on the phone she was alooot less argumentative and after 20 mins on negotiating she had the driver send the money back and take the pizza this hole process took over an hour after the first complaint call.... btw just a side note, the pizza was half eaten when we discovered this, and that's why i will NEVER eat at domino's again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! went to bed hungry cause i thru-up what i ate out of disgust and i didn't even eat the tainted pizza but after that you never...
