I lived at El Centro Apartments for seven months, and my experience was far from satisfactory. The management was terrible, and the level of service provided to residents was extremely disappointing.
Maintenance Delays: Anytime I needed maintenance, it was a struggle. One of my requests took over two months to get resolved, which is completely unacceptable. Security Concerns: Within two months, two cars were stolen from the property, including one from my neighbor. This made me feel unsafe, and the management didnât seem to care or take action to improve security. Nightmare Entry Process: Getting into the building was always a hassle due to poor design or inefficiencies. It made something as simple as coming home a constant frustration. Community Issues: One of the neighbors was running a barbershop out of their apartment, and random strangers were constantly entering the building. It was uncomfortable and didnât feel safe. Broken Amenities: The sauna was out of order for three months. Later, neighbors found out that someone had overdosed there, which was poorly handled and communicated by management. Pest Problems: During the summer, the place had serious fly infestations because the trash was stored near an open shaft. On top of that, if your apartment was near the "jungle-themed" area, insects would constantly get in whenever you opened a window. Move-In Issues: When I moved in, the lighting in my apartment wasnât working, and the repair workers told me it couldnât be fixed because of the "old system." There were dents on the walls when I moved in, which were never repaired. They also promised me a parking spot near the elevator, but that promise was never fulfilled. Move-Out Charges: Despite leaving the apartment in excellent condition, I was hit with a $1,000 move-out charge for wall painting and floor cleaning. This was especially frustrating since the walls already had dents when I moved in, which they never fixed. Unprofessional Management: The manager, Sarin, treated us poorly and approached every situation as if we owed her something. It was a terrible experience dealing with her. Overall: Living at El Centro Apartments was one of the worst rental experiences Iâve had. From unresponsive management and poor security to maintenance delays and unreasonable move-out charges, I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone. If youâre considering living here, save yourself the headache and...
Read moreSo I'd like to first state that we did not get the apartment, but the customer service that "JJamee Biadora" gave us was incredible.
She made her self available and responded back to emails very quickly. She knew what we were looking for. We told her our ideal price range and she was more then happy to accommodate closer to that range.
What was so great was that she had videos of the apartments already done and sent us the links so we could view them that way. We couldn't see them in person because we currently lived in Phoenix, AZ at the time and had to move for my partners job. So we had to get an apartment off site.
The apartment its self has gorgeous fixtures. Is in an ideal location if you work in down town LA and do not want to drive. It's right next to the subway that you can take to work. It's right across from the W Hotel, along with CVS/Walgreens, Shake Shack, Pressed Juice, Chop Shop Salads, and some ice cream place. It also looks like they are greeting a grocery store built underneath them along with a possible dog grooming or daycare shop.
The most important thing is that it is safe. You are on a busy street, and it being right next to the W, that Hollywood & Argyle are relatively safe to walk at night.
There's never a homeless person just setting up shop right on their side walk either, as like what you'd see down on Sunset.
The reason why we did not get the apartment was because of our couch (Roche Bobois). It's extremely expensive and we did not want to get rid of it.
Jamiee sent us the measurements of the apartments as we requested. She responded very quickly.
She made herself available during the busy times of covid as well and was patient with us during our whole conversation.
The only reason why I also know about the area is that we do not live too far from El Centro and walk our dog around that area often.
So if you're looking for someone who is extremely professional, responds in a timely fashion manner, I'd suggest asking for...
Read moreI can't recommend this property enough. It sits in the heart of Hollywood yet once you enter the complex it's quiet and serene. The property is very well maintained in every way, from the common spaces full of tall plants that will transport you to a peaceful jungle, to the clean and well lit hallways and all the amenities they have to offer. This place is huge and you never get bored hanging out at the pool, or any of the fireplaces and common areas. You can mingle with neighbors that are always up and about.
The apartments are VERY well built. I have never heard a single noise from either of my neighbors. The bathrooms in these units are HUGE and all the finishes are on point. High-end, modern, and very comfortable.
If you have pets, this is the place! They have a great dog park that gets cleaned a few times per week.
The pool is awesome as well as the hot tub. This place even has a sauna. I've never lived in a complex that has a sauna and it's amazing.
The Staff - Make sure you meet Pleasure and Sarah, two of the most lovely and helpful people you will ever encounter. They always have a smile on their faces, willing to help with any needs and are a joy to deal with. These two lovely ladies know how to treat their tenants.
The pics are from my studio apartment - It was a bungalow and these units are comfortable, cozy, and just plain epic!
This place definitely deserves 5 stars. The apartments are quiet and spacious and it's so convenient to have access to Trader Joe's and two gyms within one block away, aside from great food, plenty of shopping and theaters. Run! Don't walk - rent here. You will...
