My husband and I were visiting my daughter in LA, and she chose this place because she lives close by and she’d seen several good reviews on Tik Tok. It is very, very cute inside! Unfortunately, it was some of the slowest and nonexistent service I’ve ever seen. We ordered a starter, a salad, and 3 entrees. After about a 25 minute wait, they brought my daughter’s entree to the table. There was no mention of the starter, the salad or our other entrees. She waited a few minutes to begin eating, but when it became clear that our food was not coming out, and after I grabbed a cold fry off her plate, we insisted she begin eating hers while it was still lukewarm. About 10 minutes later, our starter was delivered - spicy pork lettuce cups. Although they were merely room temperature, it was tasty enough. At least another 15 minutes went by, and still no sign of either my husband’s or my entrees, nor the salad. I’ve never, ever had a restaurant serve one entree prior to the starter and a half hour before the other entrees. And with no explanation nor communication from the staff! As I looked around at the other tables and diners, I noticed that, like ours, water glasses were all mostly empty, silverware was scarce, and I watched one table get up and help themselves to napkins off the bar because they grew tired of waiting for the nonexistent server. There were only 3 visible staff members - one was making coffee drinks behind the bar, one was hustling around delivering plates of food to tables one plate at a time, and the third just wandered around looking a little lost. At one point, she disappeared behind the bar for about 15 minutes to wash dishes. It seemed like an odd use of her time when there were diners at every table wondering where the heck their food was and in need of refills and napkins. It just seemed like no one was in charge. After an hour, my patience had worn thin. I asked for the check for the food that we’d eaten and cancelled the rest of our order. Even then, if they would’ve just said something as simple as, “I’m so sorry for the delay, let me check on the rest of your food,” I probably would’ve stayed. But they were so lost, so leaderless and so uncommunicative with each other and with us, that they just looked relieved to have three fewer diners to worry about. Because it’s so beautifully decorated, I hope the boss/leader/manager/someone with some sense of service and efficiency shows up to work tomorrow and helps them get on track! My daughter says she’ll go back and give them another try in a couple weeks - if for no other reason than the ambience - and if her second experience is better, I’ll update...
Read moreHappy NYE from my cousin and I! Decided to grab some brunch in LA. This place was poppin’ on social media, and we’ve been wanting to visit for a while.
Parking: They have valet parking for only $2! If you prefer to struggle for parking, there is metered street parking.
Ambiance/Environment: This spot is located inside ‘Garden Suite Hotel & Resort.’ They have such cute decor! Pink, floral, and aesthetics everywhere! Perfect for a date idea or Sunday brunch with the girls hehe.
Service: Shout out to Jun! He was the only waiter. We came in around 11am, and it became more consistent around the afternoon. Jun recommended us their most popular dishes. He’s also attentive and courteous.
What we ordered:
Butter Scotch Latte - This was one of their popular lattes, and I could definitely tell why! It’s sooo good! Just wish there was more, especially for its price.
Banana-nut Latte - Another one of their popular lattes. The banana flavor was not shy. This was pretty sweet, yet sooo good. Again, wish there was more.
Lychee Margarita - I didn’t really taste the lychee, buuut I love margaritas. The tequila was probably overpowering.
Kim’s Kimchi Pasta - My cousin and I shared everything! The kimchi pasta had so much flavor, and it was fulfilling!
Bulgogi Quesadilla - These were filled with cheese and bulgogi! Sooo delicious! I really need to know what they put in their dipping sauce bc it’s like crack. Can’t get enough!
Bibimbap Burrito - Everything you’d put in a basic bibimbap, just in a burrito without the seaweed. This tasted exactly as it sounds. Don’t forget to dip for extra flavor.
Avocado Salad - Everything in this bowl was fresh! I enjoyed the dressing and generous slices of avocado.
Cro-Waffle - This was the most difficult for us to eat. We did let it sit for a while, but now we know to eat this quickly before it cools down. Once it cools down, the waffle becomes hard. There was also a generous amount of fresh fruits.
Pricing: We absolutely enjoyed everything! The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing, and the food...
Read moreI recently visited this cozy spot , and I must say, it’s perfect for a relaxed brunch or dinner. The ambiance is charming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger and enjoy every moment.
The menu offers an impressive variety, from comforting food options to indulgent drinks. We decided to try a little bit of everything, starting with the bulgogi quesadilla. It was absolutely phenomenal—easily the best quesadilla I’ve ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the bulgogi added a unique twist to a classic dish.
Next, we tried the bibimbap burrito, which was massive! It’s incredibly filling, so come hungry if you plan to tackle it. The fusion of flavors worked beautifully, though it might be a bit heavy for some.
For pasta, we went with the seafood cioppino pasta and the Toowoomba pasta. The seafood pasta was loaded with a generous amount of fresh seafood, and the sauce was rich and flavorful without being overwhelming. The Toowoomba pasta was another standout, but it does pack a bit of heat—perfect if you enjoy a spicy kick, though it leaned a bit too spicy for my palate.
The drinks were just as memorable. The enchanted lemonade was refreshing and had a delightful citrusy tang, while the banana latte offered a sweet, creamy indulgence that I’d highly recommend if you’re a coffee lover looking for something unique.
Service was impeccable throughout our visit. This restaurant is a must-visit if you’re in the area. Whether you’re looking for a casual brunch with friends or a cozy dinner with loved ones, this spot hits the mark with delicious food, creative drinks, and excellent service. I’ll...
