This things not a party, is hardly a club. It's a country club.
It was dead the Saturday before the grammys, there were roughly 50 people in the place and the door guy still ignored people trying to get in while letting in others without an arbitrary fee. This is why the party is dead all over la county, some would say why traffic in la is so bad, youre not fomo anything guys. To the owners of this place, this treatment is all over la land from Montecito to big bear, I've gotten it from grocery stores to bodyshops but it begins in Hollywood clubs I'd imagine. From the viewpoint of a guy who moved to LA for the parties, it's a $20 max to get into any celebrity party if any, anything over is a red flag: it's dead or an indoor version of Hollywood's pink wall. The door guys don't party, don't take their word for it. Life lesson you dont want to learn the hard way, never pay door fees in cash, if it sucks youll want your money back and it will. This thing is a business venue at its peak and I don't talk shop outside of shop and definitely not on Saturday nights. It's the same review from all of us non country club members allowed in, "this could have been better than sucking this bad." Some may ask why do I come here, bc its my neighborhood bar.
To anyone who's not let in, I snuck in (learn to climb hedges grasshopper) and its not a party. It's 90% selfie station and 75% bunch of ppl coming to be seen with 50 of their friends, idk 1% dancing and 2% having a wild time. There's no dancing by waitresses, that's not dancing by the crowd. Sure they fill it with "pretty people," {barf} like all country clubs do but the answer to the age old question is always, personality. The party is dead in Hollywood on the weekends except off santa monica. The party doesn't get better in Hollywood, it gets worse.
In Chicago we have a famous gym venue, the east bank club I'm a member of and its not a real gym either but ppl do enjoy it. Not to workout though, no matter how many "NBA players train here." It's not like la fixes this problem.
Eventually I'll find a club where the waitresses dance bc they are treated well by mgmt and crowd. This crowd, im sorry mom and dad, is 4/5 misbehaved children.
If you're loved, the remnants of nirvana play jam sessions in antelope Valley in the missile fields, the ying yang twins has the entire club step in the name of love in the foothills of big bear (there are four routes up to big bear, its the easiest route up) and if youre a fan of american olympics phelps likes craft breweries in thousand oaks. to the man who dressed, sounded and probably was Common outside asking about the venue, try elbow room off cahuenga or moms...
Read moreAbsolutely a racist and boring place!!! I was invited by a promoter and my friend, since that day(June 29th 2024) there was a famous rapper there. When the rapper came, my friend and I went to the front of the stage. I was with my friend together at the beginning, but then a short couple tried to squeeze between my friend and me and in front of us. I didn’t want to be teared apart with my friend, so I told them don’t squeeze. But they didn’t listen and began to squeeze me(They were very short but had huge strength). I felt that was not fair and tried to squeeze against them, then a security noticed and he didn’t ask anything just literally used his hands pushed my chest outside the club. I was so shocked cuz in his point of view we were squeezing each other so why he only pushed me and why he didn’t ask anything just decided I was wrong? also I was so terrified and humiliated cuz if he wanted to kick me out, why he pushed my chest? Ok he was the security so he had the right to touch an Asian girl’s chest? Is it because I’m Asian and I’m easy to be bullied or I’m much taller than them so he thought I was the one to bully them? I just feel the security was very unprofessional and racist. What’s worse, all the girls should wait outside before entering the club to be chosen by the manager of the club. I was chosen very early but I felt awkward cuz my friend was not chosen with me together even tho we were waiting together, and also felt awkward for other strange girls, they were so beautiful but they still needed to wait outside to be chosen as the club’s girlfriend. Besides that, the drinks were terrible. Promoter just gave girls some free and very inferior drinks so that they could attract some men. It’s totally not worth it. I’ll never go to this terrible...
Read moreAfter living in LA for many years, I decided to visit Hyde since most of the LA clubs are closed on Sundays. Walking in wasn’t a problem, and security was pleasant. However, when we got seated at our table, we had absolutely no space because the tables next to us were overflowing with some of the most aggressive and ill-mannered people I’ve ever encountered. I spoke to the head of security, and they brought in a rope to give us some space. The rope didn’t help, so they had to move us to a different table with fewer people.
After the move, a random drunk guy ran into me and my table, spilling a $1,000 bottle of alcohol on the floor and my $1,000 sneakers. I alerted security, but management did little to remedy the situation.
I have some advice for the people running this place: limit how many gremlins your promoters bring to their free tables with just one bottle of alcohol for 30 people.
Additionally, if someone is paying thousands for their section, you shouldn’t allow random people to stand in their sitting areas yelling, “You don’t know who I am,” in an aggressive tone like they’re the president of the mafia.
Overall, this is the worst club I’ve ever been to, but the waitresses were great and knew what...
