Katsu Sando is a fast casual sandwich shop that specializes in Japanese sandwiches. This place is located in at the United Foods Plaza food court in šŸ“Chinatown, Los Angeles. @eatswithedith on IG šŸ½ļøOrdered: 1. Honey walnut shrimp sando 2. Pork katsu sando 3. Mont Blanc kakigori The shrimp sando was rly unique as I’ve never had a fried shrimp sandwich like this before. The shrimp was tender & the honey walnuts added a beautiful sweetness and crunchiness to the dish. Originally I wanted to try this place for their kakigori but I was pretty let down by it šŸ˜” the ice was pretty melted already and the water chestnut purĆ©e wasn’t my favorite.. Overall, I think I hyped this place up a lot in my head but it didn’t really live up to it when I finally tried it. Would probably order the shrimp sandwich again if I ever crave it. šŸ’”Tips: -There’s no seating here so be prepared to either get it to go or door dash! -wouldn’t recommend this place with a big group unless you did a picnic at a park nearby šŸ’°Price: $45 for meal ( šŸ˜ž)

This is straight food review based on having this delivered from Caviar/Doordash! I can't fairly rate the atmosphere and service here on Google. Even with an average wait of about ~45 minutes from order placement to delivery, the food was still warm and fresh feeling! I scarfed down the mushroom katsu sando, and their whole crispy and lightly fried portobello mushroom is meaty and satisfying. It really was quite a filling meal-sized sandwich on its own and the frisee, yuzu-kosho slaw, katsu sauce, and true star of the show: the honey milk bread made it a sandwich worthy of reviewing. I can't wait to go back and try the chicken katsu sando. I had some green tea to drink and the addictive wagyu curry cheese fries. The kewpie mayo and aonori elevate the seasoned fries. Their house sauce was addictive and I spread it on my sandwich and fries. It's spicy and deliciously subtly sweet, and they use gochujang, mayo, and citrus. I'll be back to scope out this place in person!

Holy wow this place was DELICIOUS! I got the shrimp sando and my friend got the chicken sando (he had never heard of or had a sandwich like that before and still talks about to this day). The shrimp sando was soooo good! Perfectly worked with walnuts and a light sweet glaze. The whole sandwich was constructed nicely and didn’t fall apart. We got cheese waffle fries and curry to share, omg it was so good. The spicy dipping sauce they give is so very nice! 10/10 experience. We ate standing with was nice because we work in an office, the ambiance in the location was really nice, it’s small and you will miss it if you are paying attention. Free parking in that area in general at certain times of the day is awful so be prepared to pay for it. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.

I don't get what the hype is about. My mushroom katsu had absolutely no flavor! I was so excited to try this place. I saw a tiktok regarding the new opening in SGV (I never heard of this place prior). I was happy because they had a vegetarian option. I kept seeing their IG stories of long lines, the reviews on Yelp. One Yelp review said the egg sandwich was soo good that next time he's gotta get a few for everyday breakfast. Ya girl loves egg salad sandwiches! I was happy this place opened down the street from home. For whatever reason, I hadn't been able to make it during the SGV hours. I happened to be near China town so I stopped by on a Sunday. I'm just going to say I've had better egg salad sandwiches at a gas station. This one had NO FLAVOR. The only thing I loved from my $50 order were the fries. Best dang fries I've tried! So crispy and delicious. I'm sure the meat sandos are delicious but the mushroom one ain't it. The breading was soggy and I ate this fresh in my car right after...
