I realize this place has a really high rating but judging by the food I'm wondering if it's just heavy local favorite due to convenience. I happened to be passing through the area and thought I'd support a small private owned business vs some corporate money mill. The girl helping us could not have been more awesome. Super friendly and upbeat. She was the better part of the experience. The food... Not so awesome. I ordered a 1/2 rice/chow mein combo with the fabled Lee's orange chicken, and potato chicken as the 2nd choice. The fried rice was definitely "fried." Super dry and tasted like burnt pan. The noodles had a perfect texture, but tasted like they were tossed in well used frying oil. It was hard to find much meat in the orange chicken through the thick batter, and the sauce was sweet as snow cone syrup. The potato chicken had a delicious sauce, but the chicken portions were odds and ends of dark meat that looked like it was scrapped from another dish. The "potatoes" were crinkle cut fries that had become so soggy they barely held their shape. I ate about a 1/3 of the food before completely tapping out.
