If I could give 0 stars I would, this place has horrible service and professionalism. My family and I came from out of town for bridal shopping and this restaurant was close to our destination so we decided to get breakfast before starting our day. Coming from out of town and drove over 2 hours and this was our first stop. The second we stepped in it felt like we were not welcomed. We tried multiple times to speak with the hostess about the waitlist and to dine in. There was about 13 of us- I get it it’s a big party but we were okay with a wait- without any hesitation we were denied service. We asked if we can just be seated at different tables that didn’t have to even be next to each other and we were shot down and given a card to speak with management. I guess this restaurant is part of a hotel and there was a bathroom by the elevators so while we were waiting and speaking with a host, some of the group wanted to use the restroom because we had been driving and this was our first stop. While we were in line, a manager of the hotel approached us and said we had to leave due to the fact we aren’t staying in the hotel or dining in the restaurant. We explained that we were trying to eat at the restaurant but we are being denied service and the reason was because we were too big of a group even though we were okay with separating. I unfortunately did not get a name but he was very rude and hostile towards us. He did not care to hear our reasons and insisted we had to leave immediately and can not use the restroom. Arguing with us that we were not welcomed and if we don’t leave then there will be law involved. Why would a restaurant, that had lots of open seating inside and out, deny service to a large group that would bring them profit ? This place is horrible service and the hotel management. Work on customer service and smile instead of dirty looks and...

I felt I had a breakfast in a comic book.
Moonlark’s Dinette is an absolute gem! The vibe is warm and whimsical — like stepping into a cozy little daydream. The staffs all wearing a pink uniform, they are so friendly, you feel like you’re being welcomed by old friends. And the food? Oh my gosh. Every bite tastes like it was made with love. Their brunch menu is out of this world (highly recommend the lakte smoked salmon, and the coffee is chef’s kiss.
It’s the kind of place you’ll want to linger in, chatting over another cup of coffee and maybe one more pastry. Can’t wait to go back!
It is also my second time here at Hoxton Hotel.
The Hoxton Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles is a stylish and lively spot that perfectly captures the creative energy of the city. Housed in a beautifully restored historic building, it combines vintage charm with modern elegance. The vibe is warm and laid-back, with thoughtfully designed rooms, cozy common spaces, and a rooftop pool with amazing city views.
The hotel also has some fantastic dining options — including Moonlark’s Dinette — and often hosts cool events and pop-ups. Whether you’re visiting LA or just looking for a fun local staycation, The Hoxton offers a perfect mix of comfort, style, and a little bit of adventure.
It’s my comic-book hotel.
I am actually introverted person. The reason I posted the places I had been is just to leave some footprints in the world if one day I die.
I am not promoting anything commercial. I don’t like to make lots of friends, and can not believe people who try to get a lot attention or have lots of friends.
Last little thing in this restaurant is that little Barbie pink string lights at bar area. Sooo cute. Small but it is a big help on the vibe. Love it. This meets my expectation of a...
Read moreThis restaurant is wonderful! I went here with my partner for date night last night and my first impression was how beautifully designed the space was. The design team behind the restaurant did an excellent job of making it comfortable, chic and cozy (thank you for REAL tabletop candles, a surprisingly rare occurrence these days!). The cocktails we ordered were great - especially the Mon Cherry. I think we ordered well, thanks to our server, and from start to finish the dinner was awesome. We had the olive / anchovy / pickled green pepper to start. It was a perfect one-bite for each of us, refreshing and bright. Then we ordered the apricot and duck confit - it was fantastic. We had the chopped salad which was simple but tasty, the talo, which was unique and delicious, the Spanish tortilla - one of the best ones we’ve ever had, and finally THE DUCK. The duck almost felt like a sweet/savory dessert because it was so perfect and decadent. It was great for us to split but also would be a perfect main dish if you have a big appetite. The duck was crispy on the outside, tender otherwise, and came with an almond purée that mimicked buttery whipped mashed potato. And it came with a Cherry compote that was so delicious. This one was a show stopper! Lastly, we had the basque cheese cake - really nice, simple, and well prepared. I totally recommend this...
