I'm just going to assume that there isn't a "street pricing" requirement on food at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) because $11.20 for an Egg Salad sandwich. $11.95 for a cheese and tomato sandwich and $9.49 for a can of Goose IPA is absurd.
At 9:30 AM, shelves were well stocked with sandwiches, beverages and such. A queue had formed for coffee so I skipped that. They have a clever self-checkout that worked well.
Don't get me wrong - Pret sandwiches are awesome. I got hooked on them when I lived in the UK for two years. Their coffee over there was great and these fresh sandwiches are delicious. But here at LAX?...

Ordered a large latte with oat milk (cost $7.72 after tax) and it taste like a cheap house coffee from a diner with splash of oat milk that was frothed poorly (see picture, note the drink was not filled all the way up not sure if standard practice for them). Not sure if it’s their off day but I’m disappointed on how the latte came out. I would’ve been better off getting a house coffee from Starbucks next to it and save some $$

Read moreI lived in London and worked for Pret for 3 years and I loved it. I was so happy to find one in Los Angeles but I ended up to not buy anything. Not a lot of choice as sandwiches and baguette and not labels at all to indicate prices and ingredients of the products. I had to ask a team member for the prices but he was very vague. For one baguette 13$ and the sandwiches between 9$ and 12$. I think is very expensive. Knowing all the standard and hard job for this company I was very disappointed...
