I almost never give bad review but unfortunately I have to for this place. My general comment.. DO NOT GO HERE to eat.
Below are the reasons for my bad experience:
They only have outdoor seats. Which is fine however when the temp gets cold there are barely any outdoor heaters to keep you warm. Guests had to huddle around the only working heater. Service was so slow that we waited 20min for the waiter to show up first time, then 30 min to get food after ordering even though the restaurant was mostly empty. No server came to check on us to see if we wanted water or to let us know about our food status. We had to call them multiple times to ask the status and remind them about drinks. We ordered coconut water and it was all pink from inside. A coconut will turn pink when it is too old. After we asked for another one the Manager did not want to give a newer one. We asked for spicy sauce and they gave it in a bowl that looked like was going table to table. During covid times that is the fastest spreader. We ordered standard items like pad thai and pad see ew. Pad Thai tasted so fishy as if the noodles was in fish water all day. Neither item had any taste to them. Their Tom yum soup was boiled vegetables in lemon water. It tasted horrible and we had to return it.
Overall, a horrible experience. We complainted to the manager and she did not care. Throughout the remaining time no one came around or even looked over at our table. We could have easily walked out without paying but instead hunted the waiter to give them money.
Unfortunately this place is simply horrible and have no idea how to run...
Read moreWe were out at the Grand Canal for a walk/hike with our dog. We saw this place and as much as we love Thai food and also it has outdoor seating we decided to eat here. We also needed to use the restroom so I thought I would use the restroom first and then order the food. It looked like a high end dining place so I was not expecting the bad bad hospitality we received here. We were treated like we were homeless people looking for a restroom. The waitress was super judgy when I told her we are planning to order but I need to use the restroom first. While I was going inside a guy came either a manager or a waiter and literally stood in between me and the kitchen like he was going to push me. He made me order first before I could go inside. I understand that restaurants have policies but they literally embarrass you if you want to use their not so lavish restroom. I didn't mind ordering first but what could have been a $75 meal plus tip turned into a $14 takeout just because of the rude behaviour they did to me. Businesses need to use their experience and expertise when they are talking to a possible customer. This was not their loss today. It's for future as well. Infact they are never going to receive any praise or recommendations from our end ever. The food that we ordered was also OK. I have had far better vegan Thai at other places. I could actually taste the oil more than I could have tasted the flavors of spices and herbs in the soup. I do not recommend this place specially to anyone who loves their...
Read moreI thought Thai food could never taste bad until my recent visit this place. We ordered flavored fish, papaya salad, Thai spicy fried rice, pad Thai, sticky rice with mango, angel wings and Thai ice tea. The flavored fish was sickly-sweet and came without rice . We could barely have a table spoon of this melliferous dish . We asked the servers if it was supposed to be that sugary and they couldn’t get the clue that we wanted it returned(couldn’t understand English well).Papaya salad was not spicy at and used too much vinegar. The Thai spicy chicken rice was the only dish we finished because it was the one that was better than others but was bland mixture of rice and oil. Angel wings was ground chicken stuffed in some crunchy wrap mixed with some herbs and tasted like plain tortilla chips . Then they decided to cook sticky rice and sprinkle some coconut milk on top and serve with mango. The coconut flavor was not absorbed by the rice as it should have been. The Thai ice tea was good but I definitely wouldn’t drive all that way just for a tea. We were pretty hungry and the pic below illustrates food that we left . Went back home and had dinner again. This is probably the worst dinner experience I had in a while and would prefer plain toasted bread and butter over the meal served here any day. Ps best place to bring your cheating ex to dinner before you dump her or a business rival for casual lunch. Just accidentally spill their Thai ice tea if...
