Pre-ordered two "Travelers" (coffee service for 24 to-go) the night before pickup. Got there next AM for pickup (on time), but was told to wait in regular (long!) ordering line--dunno why.
Then I was told "Oh, yeah, someone who ordered one 'traveler' walked off with two--theirs & one of yours." Like the staff had known this for some time, but couldn't be bothered to anticipate things & prepare a 2nd one. The whole point of the PRE part of ordering coffee is to have it ready when you arrive, yes? And, rather obviously, when you're getting the equivalent of 24 cups of joe, it's a safe bet that it's for a meeting happening soon (a time issue), unless you've got a serious java addiction & a robust bladder. Don't need to be a rocket surgeon on that one.
Anyway, they didn't even start to prepare the 2nd one until the counter person asked "So, do you still want two?" - like I was magically done a favor by the coffee thief and really didn't need it. And this was after I'd paid for two--and then had to ask for my change. (She held the $50 bill to the light to be sure I wasn't passing fake money).
Yes, I was given two coupons for free coffee -- the kind that say stuff like "So sorry you had a bad experience, but come see us again real soon!"--but to me, this hardly makes up for being treated rather rudely and as if I'm imposing on their time. True, it's not really their fault that some coffee klepto copped half my order (though their nonchalant 'tude makes me think it's not infrequent), but I'd like to think that someone's thought bubble would have popped up with something like "Gee, I'd better get the 2nd setup ready for that customer." Guess they just thought (if at all) that they'd rather waste my time than theirs.
Sure, this whole thing was a cosmically insignificant irritant, but I really didn't like their insouciant vibe of "'What, me worry?' We'll deal with this when/if the person ever shows up" & then tossing me a couple of free coffee coupons to make it all better. Plus, due to their entrenched behavior I was way, way late for my meeting.
Sorry, but probably won't be...
Read moreI have always had good experiences at Starbucks usually but this Starbucks is the worst customer experience I have ever had. Not only did they mess up my order and give me a very cold drink that was supposed to be hot but they were very very rude about everything. As I was ordering in the drive through i was speaking to a male worker who was taking my order he didn’t understand what I was ordering and so as I was speaking to him I guess he couldn’t hear the size I wanted the coffee to be and I wasn’t done ordering when a female voice came on very rudely and said “ We ask what size you want not what what’s in the coffee” I wasn’t even down explaining to them what I wanted and she rudely interrupted me while I was talk to the male worker who was the one taking my order to being with. When I got to the window the male and female started to tell me that I was ordering wrong and that not how you order things. As I was trying to explain to them that I have been ordering the same thing in other Starbucks and I have never had a problem at all. Obviously they both have never heard that a customer is always right. I order 4 drink and pay for it and they only gave me 3 when I told them I was missing a drink both of them roll there eyes at me and when I received the drink I basically shoved it into my hand. My hot coffee was cold it was hot at all not even warm. I was so upset that I decided not to even go back to say something about it. I should have gone back and talk to the manger but I was very Fed up With the nasty customer service...
Read moreThe baristas at this Starbucks will not believe you are a patron of the store if you get a refill of coffee. I got my cup, sat down and worked at my computer for an hour and a half. Then after I’m done I go put my laptop in the car, fill the meter with a dime and come right back in. Now I’m waiting in line get a refill. I ask for a refill and they ask if I’ve left the store. I am fully aware of the policy but I do this damn near every day at Starbucks all over Los Angeles. They never ask me when I return if I bought the cup there, if I’ve left the store or anything like that. They actually pay attention and/or give the benefit of the doubt. Another barista tried to claim that he “just saw me walk in” but somehow conveniently didn’t see me just walk out 2 mins prior nor saw me sitting and working right in front of them for an hour and a half. It’s a technicality that I “left the store” for 2 minutes to feed the meter but damn. You can’t step outside to feed the meter? If you go to this place you’ll see what I mean as the parking is atrocious. They should either give the benefit of the doubt or be more attentive to who actually stays and works for a length of time. I truly believe there is a bias and it shows distrust from the employees to the customers when they try to deny something as small as a 50 cent refill for a technicality that doesn’t even apply. The rule is to prevent you from leaving for hours then coming back for a refill. Not leaving for 2 minutes to feed the meter after being...
