Let's be honest. When you hear that a bento costs $40, can you resist feeling skeptical? It's unlikely. Even for someone like me, born and raised in Japan, such an expensive bento is quite unheard of.

However, this time, fueled by my husband's remarkable curiosity, we ventured to try this American-style sashimi bento.

Having sampled Japanese cuisine all over the United States, the experience at Te Isshoki became one of the highlights of Japanese food in America. Beautiful people, beautiful food!

The exquisite Sashimi Bento provided a dining experience reminiscent of a Michelin-starred establishment. The impeccable presentation and quality of the dishes made a lasting impression, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next visit to relish these exquisite flavors once more.

I highly recommend the tuna bento; although my husband isn't typically a fan of tuna in the US, he changed his mind after trying mine and declared that he will choose tuna over salmon next time!

The setting, the food, the people - everything was beautifully brought together, creating a memorable dining experience that transcended mere food...

Best sushi in LA! This place is a hidden gem - a tiny little takeout spot with some of the best fish cuts I’ve had here. Chef Te was super generous and gave us some extra tuna and for the price it’s really unbeatable. $50 for a plate for two of top shelf sashimi with a ton of vegetables! I walked by this place, but never gave it much of a thought - but tonight I decided to look at the menu and Chef Te showed me some cuts of their fish and I was like yeah we’re getting sushi haha. Haven’t had this quality of fatty tuna like this since I was in Japan at a tuna festival. Dining room is next door in the bank building which is nice and beautiful but a bit stiff. But for the quality of food and the price this place is my...

It appears that I have stumbled upon LA's greatest hidden gem. Chef Te delivers on the ultimate promise of fine dining at a shockingly affordable price point. Fresh, seasonal fish and accompaniments compose Chef's signature bento boxes, having immense variety and unmatched quality. This is some of the greatest fish I have ever consumed and it is available nearly at-cost thanks to Chef's dedication and low overhead. Having recently expanded hours to dinner service, the market has not yet caught up. I attended twice and was able to be served with no wait and had some delightful conversation with the Chef about his experience. If you are reading this and the review is at all recent, go immediately. You will...

Similar to sushi we had in Tokyo. I was skeptical at first since it’s a kiosk but the quality of the food is superb! I’ve been searching for a good sushi spot that has similar quality to what I’ve had in Tokyo, this is by far the closest one. I’ve tried restaurants that claims to have good sushi but I always come out disappointed. You would need to order in advance though. It’s located at the stairs of USBank bldg and you can sit and enjoy the food at the roof top where you can see the library bldg in front of you. I walk to this place so I do not know exactly where to park, although US bank does have a parking structure. For the quality and the price, I give it 5 stars.
